LIVERPOOL V NORWICH

2.30pm Sunday in the FA Cup Fourth Round sees two massive odds on favourites in action on BETDAQ Betting Exchange. Everyone will be expecting wins for Liverpool and Manchester United against weaker opposition, but could we see any Magic Of The Cup as they say!? It’s very unlikely if you look at the betting! We start the day with Liverpool hosting Norwich – this used to be a Premier League fixture with Norwich yo-yoing up and down a few times from the Championship. Liverpool always had an excellent record when the sides met though; they have won the last seven meetings going back to 2015. Norwich have actually never beaten Liverpool, and judging by the market that’s not expected to change here! Liverpool come into the game trading as short as 1.17 with Norwich 19.5 and the draw is 9.0 at the time of writing. Liverpool have a habit of scoring plenty of goals against Norwich too! It was Luis Suarez birthday this week; he scored three hat-tricks against Norwich – he finished with a total of twelve goals after playing them just six times. Suarez actually made history because he was the first player ever to score three hat-tricks against the same team. I think this game will be a case of how many goals can Liverpool score rather than will they win again.

Liverpool have had a big week in Cup action – they managed to reach the Carabao Cup Final during the week. They drew 1-1 with Fulham but took a 2-1 lead into that game from the first leg. It will be interesting to see if Jurgen Klopp decides to rest players for this game. I know we’re only coming off the Premier League Winter Break, but Liverpool have two absolutely huge Premier League fixtures coming up. They play Chelsea on Wednesday night here, and then meet Arsenal away next weekend. That run of games is going to have a big impact on their title hopes. Norwich are in the mix to reach the playoffs in the Championship but an average xG created of 1.36 isn’t going to trouble Liverpool here. Norwich have been poor at the back too; their average xG conceded is the third worst in the Championship. I’m going to keep stakes small here because there’s definitely a chance Klopp decides to rest players, but I expect a smooth win for Liverpool. The 2.13 on Liverpool -2.5 goals is worth a small investment.

The Striker Says:
One point win Liverpool -2.5 goals to beat Norwich at 2.13 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

NEWPORT COUNTY V MANCHESTER UNITED

4.30pm We finish Sunday with the shortest price of any side in the FA Cup Fourth Round as Manchester United travel to take on Newport County. United are trading as short as 1.1 at the time of writing so it’s fair to say the market is fully expecting an away win here! If you fancy a shock, and it would be one of the biggest shocks in FA Cup history, then Newport County are 28.0 with the draw 14.5. It will be interesting to see what Erik ten Hag does with his starting XI here – we’re just off the Premier League Winter Break so he might name a reasonably strong team but you’d also have to say this is a good opportunity to see some of the fringe and younger players in his squad. This is definitely one of the game this weekend that could see some reasonably big market movement on the team news, so it’s fastest fingers first on that front. Even if United go with a weaker than usual starting XI, it’s still very hard to see past them winning here. There’s such a gulf in class between the sides, how bad do United have to be to see an upset here? Newport County sit in mid-table of League Two and there aren’t many positives to report them.

I suppose the biggest thing Newport County have going for them here is home advantage. With a big side in town the atmosphere should be good, and of course we all know that United have had a lot of issues this season. Every side feels like they have a chance against United these days, and if you’re Newport County you just have to “have a go” as they say and see what happens. Their stats from League Two are quite poor, so I don’t see them causing United any real problems here. Their average xG created is 1.19 which is the sixth worst attacking figure in League Two. They are conceding more chances than they are creating at home too, and this is going to be a case of how many goals can United score rather than will they win. With United trading so short in the match odds market, we’ll have to look around the side markets for some value. Newport have obviously struggled to create chances this season, and I feel the 1.63 on Both Teams Not To Score is worth backing at 1.63 – effectively a Manchester United clean sheet on the way to winning.

The Striker Says:
One point win Both Teams Not To Score at 1.63 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
