NOTTINGHAM FOREST v MANCHESTER CITY

4.30pm We’re back in Wembley on Sunday for the second FA Cup Semi-Final on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE. Nottingham Forest clash with Manchester City as both sides take a break from their Top Four battle in the Premier League – although with Arsenal beating Real Madrid in the Champions League Quarter-Finals, there are now five Champions League places for the Premier League this season. That’s immense news for Nottingham Forest – they are having a dream season. We all know that they are over-performing massively compared to their stats, but this is a season their fans will never forget. Now, they have a chance to make it better.

When we got down to the Quarter-Finals of the FA Cup this season, usually Manchester City’s name would already be on the trophy. It’s well known that they haven’t been themselves this season, so there’s more hope than usual for Forest fans here. Especially considering they beat them recently in the Premier League. That being said, it’s still no surprise to see City come into the game as the odds on favourites. Pep Guardiola’s men are trading 1.8 with Nottingham Forest 4.9 and the draw is 3.95 at the time of writing. Despite their troubles this season, City surely arrive here on a high after their late winner against Aston Villa midweek.

It’s probably not the same buzz playing the run-in for a Top Four spot compared to the title, but there’s nothing better than a late winner for morale, especially in a big game. City have won four of their last five Premier League games now; the disappointment was the exceptionally boring 0-0 draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford. I know backing City this season has come with a wealth warning, however it’s hard to get away from them here at 1.8 – I’d have them trading shorter to be honest. I know Forest are having an excellent season, but you can’t get away from the fact that they are massively over-performing.

Forest have an average xG created of 1.39 this season which is in the bottom seven attacking figures this season. Not only are they over-performing in front of goal, they’ve been exceptionally lucky at the back. They have an average xG conceded of 1.7 this season which is in the bottom five defensive figures in the Premier League. Their actual average figure is 1.18 though, which is a huge difference in points. Although City haven’t been at their best this season, they are still creating a decent volume of chances and we know Forest will give them chances here too. I feel the 1.8 is ten ticks too big, and I’m happy to have a Five Star NAP on City at the odds.

The Striker Says:
Five points win Manchester City to beat Nottingham Forest at 1.8 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE
