WOLVES V LIVERPOOL

7.45pm The FA Cup Third Round replays kick off on BETDAQ Betting Exchange this Tuesday and there’s no doubt what the headline tie is! Wolves host Liverpool after Jurgen Klopp’s men slipped to another defeat at the weekend, this time losing 3-0 away to Brighton and again they were all over the place at the back. While Klopp isn’t under pressure for his job, he must be under immense pressure to find a way to fix Liverpool’s issues at the back. Jamie Carragher said the weekend Liverpool were as bad as anyone in the Premier League at the back, and he’s not wrong.

Given Klopp’s views on the domestic Cups, we are very likely to see some changes to the starting XI from Liverpool. That should ease the pressure a little, but another loss will just add to the clubs woes. It’s a tricky position to be in, and Klopp might be tempted to name a stronger than usual Liverpool XI in the FA Cup. From a trading point of view, we’re likely to see plenty of market movement around the teams news here – it will be fastest fingers first after the news breaks on Twitter an hour before kick off!

Although Liverpool have been poor at the back for the whole season, I feel it has been more disappointing after the World Cup. It was clear that they had issues at the back heading into the World Cup, but you always felt Klopp might find a system or work out a way to make them more solid at the back during the World Cup break. That hasn’t happened, and they have conceded high xG figures and at least once in every game since returning from the World Cup. As I said the weekend, and we landed a nice Max Bet on Over 2.5 goals too, Liverpool games just scream goals at the moment.

Wolves, despite their problems in the Premier League this season, will see this as a great chance to produce a surprise. They will be buzzing after their hard fought win over West Ham at the weekend too – that result moved them out of the bottom three and they know Liverpool will give them chances here. As you would expect, Liverpool come into the game as the odds on favourites – currently trading 1.93 at the time of writing – but it would take a brave punter to back Liverpool at odds on at the moment, especially away from home.

While Wolves have recorded some big results since returning from the World Cup, I feel the best option here is to stay away from the match odds market. Liverpool have been so poor at the back I don’t want to support them in the market at the moment, but Wolves have been pretty average this season. For me the best bet is Over 2.5 goals at 1.72. Because this is a Cup game, I’m going to keep stakes limited but Liverpool seemingly can’t fix their issues at the back, and they are still so talented going forward that most of their games this season are going to be very open. It’s hard not to see goals here!

The Striker Says:
Two points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.72 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
