BELGIUM V WALES

7.45pm The World Cup Qualifiers return on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE as Belgium host Wales on Monday. We had a little break for the Nations League Final between Portugal and Spain, and now we have another cracking fixture to enjoy. Belgium have just started their World Cup qualifying campaign in this International Break as they had the Nations League Quarter-Finals last time. They are obviously a little off the pace now, but they have games in hand. It’s fair to say that in a Group along with North Macedonia, Kazakhstan and Liechtenstein that most football fans will be expecting Belgium to top this Group. That leaves Wales batting for second; but perhaps not after Belgium’s opening game last week!

Belgium could only manage a 1-1 draw away to North Macedonia on Friday night, and it’s fair to say that was a surprise. Belgium are usually different gravy in qualifying, and then when they get to the major games that’s when they run into trouble. They have been through a golden generation but missed out on a meaningful achievement. It’ll actually be very interesting to see how they get on here – most football fans will view Wales as their main opposition in this Group. A comfortable win will silence the doubters after Friday.

As you would expect, Belgium come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.41 with Wales 9.1 and the draw is 5.0 at the time of writing. While Belgium were drawing with North Macedonia, Wales were beating Liechtenstein – no surprises there given the gulf in class between the sides and the exceptionally short price Wales started at. That leaves Wales top of the Group with seven points while as I said above, Belgium have only started their campaign so they are six points behind with two games in hand. Wales having a two point advantage over the other sides in the Group in probably the more important start for them.

Obviously getting a result here for Wales would be huge. I can see them approaching the game in a very cagey fashion in that sense – a draw would be a cracking result and they will approach the game with that in mind in my opinion. That does make the goal markets interesting. Under 2.5 goals is trading 2.15 and Both Teams Not To Score is trading 1.82. I have to say I couldn’t put anyone off either bet to be honest. I expect Wales to keep the score line respectable here – I can’t see them conceding three or more goals. At the same time, I don’t see them offering much going forward either. I wouldn’t be surprise to see Belgium grind out a 1-0 or 2-0 win. I’m happy with a small bet on Unders at odds against.

The Ultra Says:
One point win Under 2.5 goals at 2.15 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
