ALAVES V SEVILLA

6pm We have some cracking Monday night football around Europe this week on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE. We have two big name favourites away from home in La Liga and Serie A, but both are trading odds on against. We start the evening in La Liga as Sevilla travel to take on Alaves. Sevilla fans would have went into this season with fresh hope of getting back into the top four – perhaps last season was just a blip in La Liga and after all they won the Europa League, however a lot of that hope would have been drained by the loss at home against Valencia. It was a pretty even game but Sevilla were just out-battled, which is hard to take when you have home advantage. The good news is they didn’t concede a huge amount of chances like they were doing last season, but they didn’t create much. Valencia were in the relegation battle for much of last season too, so it’s hardly a good start for Sevilla. They then had the UEFA Super Cup against Manchester City last Wednesday where they lost on penalties; which is no shame against a side like Manchester City.

They face an Alaves side here who have come up from the Segunda, and if Sevilla want to get back into the top four this season they surely have to be winning games like this. Sevilla are the favourites, but we do have a very open betting heat. At the time of writing, Sevilla are trading 2.42 with Alaves 3.55 and the draw is 3.1. Alaves began their season with a 1-0 loss away to Cadiz, in a fixture that is already nearly a relegation battle – even on the opening weekend! They had more of the ball, but created less than Cadiz. It was a very even game and a draw was probably a fair result, but Sevilla are levels above this Alaves side. I was very surprised to see Sevilla trading as big as 2.42 when I clicked into the market, but of course they were so poor last season let’s not get carried away with the staking. I think 2.42 is cracking value, but I’m not going to have a Max Bet on Sevilla yet! Three points feels like a nice stake until we see them getting more consistent.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Sevilla to beat Alaves at 2.42 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

BOLOGNA V AC MILAN

7.45pm We move over to Serie A to finish the evening as Bologna host AC Milan. As I said in my preview at the weekend, it’s great to have Serie A back and we should have another season full of drama! It will be interesting to see do AC Milan get back into the mix for the title, or was that just one season and now they are battling for a top four spot again. They benefitted from the Juventus points deduction last season as they finished in fourth so they have Serie A to thank for getting Champions League football this season! AC Milan come into this fixture as they favourites, but they are trading marginally odds against at 2.02 with Bologna 4.2 and the draw is 3.6 at the time of writing. Bologna have held them to a draw in two of the last three meetings so it’s easy to see why AC Milan aren’t trading odds on. Plus, AC Milan weren’t exactly bombproof away from home last season – they only finished seventh on the away form table – indeed they only won seven times from their 19 games. Bologna were reasonably solid at home too, finishing in the top half of the home form table.

Bologna are your classic mid-table Serie A side. In 2017/18 they finished in 15th, but since then they have finished between 9th and 13th every season. Last season was their best finish in 9th, and they’ll be hoping they can build on that. They are reasonably entertaining to watch – their average xG created last season was 1.48 while their average conceded was 1.57. They are better at home compared to away because their average xG conceded away from home is as high as 1.75. I feel we’ll see a pretty cagey game here – AC Milan will know this is a tough place to come and win, and I can’t see them wanting an open game here. It’s the opening weekend after all, and Under 2.5 goals looks well worth backing at 1.87. I wouldn’t be surprised to see 0-0 at half-time before the game opens up a little, so Unders could be an excellent trade but I like it from an outright point of view too.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Under 2.5 goals at 1.87 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
