MONDAY SERIE A: The Ultra previews UDINESE v INTER MILAN with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
UDINESE V INTER MILAN
7.45pm Monday night football on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE comes from Serie A as Udinese host Inter Milan. It’s the start of a massive week from Europe with the Quarter-Finals of the Champions League and Europa League. Unfortunately for Inter Milan they won’t be there after crashing out against Atletico Madrid, but they already have two hands on the Serie A title this season. They came into this matchday with a whopping 14 point lead over AC Milan in second. It’s a shame they got knocked out of the Champions League because they could have put their full focus on that, but they didn’t handle their business in the penalty shootout.
A couple of months ago we had a good title race between Inter and Juventus. That’s a long distant memory now; Juventus’ season has fallen apart. Inter have just been relentless this season; their average xG created is 1.79 which is the second best attacking figure behind Napoli whom we know are really struggling to score this season. While their average xG conceded is only 1.07 and that’s the best defensive figure in Serie A. They are performing well in front of goal and at the back, they have almost been perfect this season to tell the truth. It’s hard to fault them, domestically anyway.
They’ll be fully expected to notch up another win here against the struggling Udinese. Inter come into the game as the red-hot favourites at 1.47 with Udinese 7.9 and the draw is 5.0 at the time of writing. Udinese are in the relegation battle this season with plenty of other sides – they started the matchday sitting in 14th but they are still within three points of the relegation zone. Their performance levels aren’t too bad; they have an average xG created of 1.26 and an average conceded of 1.45. Limited figures, but not a relegation standard.
There’s a huge gulf in class between the sides though, and it’s hard to see past an Inter win. Only Empoli and Salernitana have less points at home than Udinese this season, and both of them started the matchday sitting in the relegation zone. It’s worth noting that Udinese are actually creating more than they are conceding at home so that is a positive, but they are clearly struggling to get over the line. Only one home win all season is very poor – only Salernitana have the same record as that. They have drawn nine of their 15 home games, and a draw is probably their best chance of a result here.
It’s interesting to see Over 2.5 goals at odds on. Inter have been superb at the back all season and Udinese won’t get many chances here. I expect Udinese to be very negative and have XI men behind the ball to play for a draw. Inter might have to work hard for the win here, and I like a small position on Under 2.5 goals at 2.13. I can see Inter grinding out a 1-0 or 2-0 win here. Both Teams Not To Score is also eye-catching at 1.92 but I prefer Unders.
