SUNDAY LA LIGA: The Ultra previews Sunday’s games between EINTRACHT FRANKFURT v GLADBACH, BAYERN MUNICH v STUTTGART and ATLETICO MADRID v REAL MADRID all including a recommended BETDAQ bet.

EINTRACHT FRANKFURT V GLADBACH

2.30pm We finish what has been a tremendous week in Europe with a cracking Sunday on BETDAQ Betting Exchange. We saw high, high drama in the Champions League and Europa League this week, and hopefully we get more drama today! Eintracht Frankfurt would have been delighted with their performance on Thursday night in the Europa League. They benefited from West Ham having a man sent off in the opening 20 minutes, but they took full advantage and completely took the sting out of the game in the second half when they were 3-1 up on aggerate. They now have a Europa League Final to look forward to, and they won’t be afraid to face Rangers either – in my opinion they would have definitely picked Rangers over RB Leipzig! Eintracht Frankfurt have nothing to play for in the Bundesliga as they sit in mid-table with two games to go, and it would be pretty easy for them to take their eye off the ball here to finish the season. They will no doubt already be preparing for the Europa League Final, and we could see a very open game here. Gladbach have been conceding goals for fun this season anyway, and they won’t be afraid to have an end-to-end game.

It’s not a surprise to see such an open market. Both sides, if you take the season as an overall, have been poor. Eintracht Frankfurt have been better than Gladbach because of the way the season panned out – they started very slowly and then shot up the table, then fell back as their attention turned to Europe. Whereas Gladbach have just been poor all season compared to their standard over the last two years. Since finishing in the top four in 2019/20 they have been on the decline with a 8th placed finished last season and now they started the weekend sitting in 11th – one point ahead of Eintracht Frankfurt. Gladbach produced a shock on Monday with a 3-1 win over RB Leipzig, but their recent games have been packed with goals. I know Eintracht Frankfurt usually try to keep games tight but I doubt Gladbach will let them do that here – Gladbach are just too open! I’m expecting plenty of goals to start the day here, and over 3.5 goals looks a very appealing price at 2.04. Frankfurt should be a lot more open to finish the season, and Gladbach have been conceding chances for fun this season anyway – this should be an entertaining game!

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Over 3.5 goals at 2.04 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

BAYERN MUNICH V STUTTGART

4.30pm We stay in the Bundesliga next as Bayern Munich host Stuttgart. This will be the German Champions last home game of the season, and I’m sure there will be a big party atmosphere inside the Allianz Arena. Stuttgart won’t be in the party mood after because they are under immense pressure in the relegation race. They start this weekend sitting in the relegation playoff spot and given they are four points behind Hertha Berlin it looks like that’s going to be their best possible finish. They have to worry about Arminia Bielefeld who are just two points behind them in the relegation zone but they only have one game left. That being said, I don’t think many football fans will expect anything other than a Bayern Munich win here, so it’s very likely we’ll go to the last day with two points behind Stuttgart and Arminia Bielefeld. Both sides play at home next Saturday, but it is Stuttgart who have the easier fixture as Arminia have to play RB Leipzig. Although anything bar a Bayern win would be a surprise here, after Bayern locked in the title they did lose 3-1 to Mainz and seemed to switch off. I think they will up their level again here because it’s their final home game, but I’m fully expecting a clash of styles here. Bayern won’t mind an open game and if they draw 4-4 it won’t bother them for example – they will want to put on a show for their fans. Stuttgart will be aiming to keep the game as tight as possible and spoil the party – they have had under 2.5 goals in their last five games and they have managed three draws too.

The reality is that Stuttgart have been pretty poor this season, they will argue they haven’t been bad enough to go down but they have conceded close to two goals per game in the Bundesliga this season and you aren’t going to win many games with that stat. Bayern should outclass this Stuttgart side, but I am worried about that Mainz result and I’m happy to pass on the 1.28 – it would only go in a multiple anyway and I think you’ll find better 1.28 shots this weekend, especially because Bayern don’t need to win. I think this game will be more about entertaining the home fans to be honest, and although Stuttgart will very likely sit back I can still see Bayern making it an incredibly open game. They were happy to conceded plenty of chances to Mainz last weekend and I can see them conceding at some stage. Over 3.5 goals is odds on so the market is fully expecting goals, but I believe Both Teams To Score is better value at 1.68. I think we’ll see something like a 3-1 or 4-2 here for Bayern.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Both Teams To Score at 1.68 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

ATLETICO MADRID V REAL MADRID

8pm We move to La Liga to finish the day for a cracker! It’s the Madrid Derby as Atletico Madrid host Real Madrid, and the stakes are definitely higher for the home side. The loss last weekend to Athletic Bilbao has opened the door again in the top four race – for Atletico that made it only one win in the last six games in all competitions. I know they had to play Manchester City twice in that run but they are finishing the season in poor form. They were unlucky not to beat Granada in their last home game, but there was nothing unlucky about the loss to Athletic Bilbao as they were outplayed. They should still be fine to finish in the top four because Real Betis aren’t in superb form either, they haven’t taken the chances Atletico have given them and they have to play Barcelona this weekend. Atletico will know the result of that game before kicking off here, so let’s wait and see what’s on the line! For Real Madrid, I know this is a big Madrid Derby but they already have the La Liga title won and a place in the Champions League Final. They will most likely be managing injuries until the Champions League Final and they won’t be flying into tackles like they would usually in a Madrid Derby.

I feel like the market has definitely factored that in here. I was expecting a reasonably open market when I clicked in to see the odds – what I wasn’t expecting was to see Atletico as short as 2.16! I am going to keep stakes small because I do have some worries about what type of performances we’re going to get from Real Madrid, however I feel that price has to be laid from a value point of view. I accept the fact that we could see a lot of changes for Real here after extra time on Wednesday against Manchester City, and as I highlighted above they won’t be flying into tackles like usual – however, the fringe will be going all out here to try get into the team for the Champions League Final so that is a factor too. Despite a few players missing for Real, I just don’t believe Atletico have played well enough recently to justify these odds. Their xG figures have been better at home compared to away, but they still haven’t been at their best lately – I would definitely have them trading higher than 2.16 and I feel it jumps out as a value lay. As I said, just keep stakes limited given the worries with the mindset of the Real squad.

The Ultra Says:
Two points lay (liability) Atletico Madrid to beat Real Madrid at 2.16 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
