SUNDAY IN EUROPE: The Ultra previews Sunday’s top matches from Serie A and La Liga including a recommended BETDAQ bet.

AC MILAN V ATALANTA

5pm We’re really coming to the business end of the domestic season now, and we have a huge day of European football on BETDAQ Betting Exchange to enjoy on Sunday. All nine La Liga fixtures kick off at the same time today, but we have plenty of drama to enjoy in Serie A. It’s been a fantastic title race in Italy this season – we’ve pretty much had everything you could ask for! Inter Milan suffered a huge setback when their goalkeeper made a huge error to lose their game in hand, and AC Milan have managed to keep their two point lead at the top of the table under pressure for the last few weeks. Although AC Milan have a rich history as one of the most successful clubs in Italy, their recent years have been very different. Since 1999 they have only won two titles, once in 2003/04 and then again in 2010/11. Since then they have been through so much, finishing in 10th one year and they weren’t even back up to the Champions League spots in 2019/20. They have made huge progress over the last two seasons and to lift the title again would be such a huge achievement. They have a tough game here, and then they are away to Sassuolo for the final fixture while Inter Milan play Cagliari later today and then Sampdoria on the final day.

With goal difference so heavily in the favour of Inter Milan, AC Milan can’t even afford a draw in my opinion. I fully expect Inter to win their final two games, so a draw here would likely see AC Milan lose out on goal difference. After so many years of heartache that would be tough to take! Although facing Atalanta is always a tough fixture, they have been dropping down the table towards the end of the season and it might be a good time for AC Milan to meet them. They have slightly recovered with four games unbeaten, but they were in freefall down the table prior to that run. They are still conceding a decent amount of chances too – they have played three of the bottom five in those four fixtures and conceded xG figures of 1.04, 1.32 and 0.59. They just aren’t controlling games like they were at the start of the season, and I would suggest the turnaround in results is due to the poor opposition rather than Atalanta improving. With AC Milan in excellent form and looking confident, I’m happy to take th1 .84 on the home win here. AC Milan have been fantastic at home this season, and although Atalanta is always a tough fixture on paper, this is a good time to take them on.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win AC Milan to beat Atalanta at 1.84 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

ATLETICO MADRID V SEVILLA

6.30pm Next we move to La Liga and it’s a slight shame we have all nine games today kicking off at the same time! I know every league has their own traditions, but I don’t agree with needing the final two games kicking off at the same time! It was tough to pick a fixture to focus on here, Cadiz host Real Madrid and then Levante and Alaves also meet today with the loser definitely going down. Quite possibly both will go down anyway, but I feel the best game to enjoy this evening is Atletico Madrid v Sevilla. This is always a top quality fixture, and would have a prime TV slot on any other weekend! Atletico Madrid have had a dramatic season – they were involved in a battle for a top four finish despite playing better football than their position in the table reflected, but they have produced a strong finish and broke ahead of Sevilla last weekend. It seems remarkable that Sevilla have dropped to fourth now after spending most of the season as the main title challenger to Real Madrid – I know Real Madrid would have never feared Sevilla as a title challenge but even so. Real actually gave Sevilla some chances in January to put some pressure on but they never took them. After a dramatic turn of events in Barcelona, Atletico not getting results and Sevilla “challenging” the title we are actually back to basically the same top four we always have! With Real Betis five points back behind Sevilla, they will definitely be cheering for Atletico here and hope they can put some final day pressure on Sevilla.

In that sense, this is a big game for Sevilla. They won’t want to suffer final day pressure, and I’m sure they will happily take a draw here. That’s usually their tactics in big games anyway, I’m sure they will set up quite negatively here and play a very cagey game. They actually come into this game off the back of three draws but the score line hasn’t told the full story in their last two games. They should have beaten Mallorca with an xG of 2.6 in a 0-0 and then they should have lost to Villarreal when conceding an xG of 2.89 in a 1-1 draw. Atletico have been impressive in their last two games, and this seems a good time to support them. They created an xG of 2.15 against Real Madrid and then completely controlled the game against Elche. At this stage of the season in games like this I’m happy to keep stakes reasonably small, but I would have Atletico closer to 2.0 here and the 2.36 is very nice value. Sevilla have been playing average football for a while now, and they are there for the taking.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Atletico Madrid to beat Sevilla at 2.36 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

CAGLIARI V INTER MILAN

7.45pm We move back to Serie A to finish a superb Sunday as Cagliari host Inter Milan. By kick off Inter will know where they stand and how AC Milan got on against Atalanta earlier in the day, but that result won’t change much really. It just depends where they end up in the table – a chance to go top or stay in touch. Inter always had to win their final two games and hope AC Milan drop points somewhere, so in that sense the result earlier doesn’t matter – Inter must win here. I have to say it’s very hard to see anything bar an easy win for Inter here; they arrive into this fixture in superb form and Cagliari haven’t been offering much lately either. Obviously the goalkeeper error made all the headlines against Bologna but they played well for a very large part of that game too – it was just unlucky what happened. In recent xG figures have been 4.75, 2.39, 2.2, 1.37, 2.69 and 2.37. Those are the figures of a side playing some very good football and I would recommend putting them in any BETDAQ Multiple today at around 1.41. The big question for me is do I make the 1.41 my best bet or go with a handicap option.

Before getting carried away with Inter, let’s not forget that Cagliari are fighting for their lives here. They started the weekend sitting in the bottom three but they are very much in the relegation battle heading into their final two games. They started the weekend just one point behind Salernitana and four behind Spezia – they are also only four point behind Sampdoria who have to play Inter on the final day so you never know. Cagliari would obviously need a shock win here though, and I just can’t see that happening. They only have one win in their last nine Serie A games, and they just aren’t creating enough to beat a side like Inter. I highlighted the Inter xG figures above, well Cagliari’s are 0.46, 0.90, 0.89, 1.58 (won), 0.19 and 0.33. That’s just not good enough to trouble Inter here, and I can only see a one way traffic win. The Handicap prices are very tempting, but I’d have Inter closer to 1.3 here so I’m going to keep it simple with a Max Bet at 1.41.

The Ultra Says:
Five points win Inter Milan to beat Cagliari at 1.41 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
