RENNES V AC MILAN

5.45pm Crunch time in the Europa League knockout playoffs on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE this Thursday, and we have two very interesting markets. All eyes will be on Roma v Feyenoord later in the night after their 1-1 first leg, but we kick off the action with an exceptionally open market between Rennes and AC Milan. It’s fair to say that this tie was put to bed in the first leg with AC Milan winning 3-0, and for them this will just be about getting through the 90 minutes. As I said above, we have an exceptionally open market; both sides are trading within three ticks of each other. AC Milan are marginal favourites at 2.73 with Rennes 2.76 and the draw is 3.6 at the time of writing. The two sides will have very different tactics heading into this game, and it will be fascinating to see how it plays out. For Rennes, they have to go all out attack to try and get back into things. For AC Milan, they will want the game to be as boring as possible. Is there any better side than an Italian side to just close up shop away from home? Rennes won again at the weekend in Ligue 1 bringing their run of Ligue 1 wins to six in a row.

There’s still a big gulf in class between the sides however, and we saw that in the first leg. I have to say I thought Rennes created enough over the 90 minutes to find a goal, and this tie would have been a little more interesting if they did but here we are. AC Milan will surely approach this game in a negative way, just be as cagey as possible to get through. However, they have been conceding goals away from home recently. They shipped four at the weekend against Monza, prior to that they conceded twice to Frosinone and Udinese too – they won both of those games 3-2 in the end but lost 4-2 at the weekend. I would lean towards Under 2.5 goals given the mindset of AC Milan here, however Both Teams To Score looks a nice bet at 1.81. I think Rennes will make this game exceptionally open and AC Milan have been quite loose at the back. I actually think the best tactics for AC Milan here will be to fight fire-with-fire but Rennes can score at some stage, and if AC Milan attack they will find the net too given they are levels above Rennes.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Both Teams To Score at 1.81 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

ROMA V FEYENOORD

8pm Next we have the highlight of the evening as Roma host Feyenoord. These two have had plenty of battles in Europe recently, although I did miss the Jose Mourinho needle heading into the first leg! That was another tense affair, very close in every aspect and a 1-1 draw was a fair result. From a Roma point of view, they will be delighted with that result and now they have home advantage to go and win the tie. They come into the game trading as the 2.22 favourites with Feyenoord 3.55 and the draw is 3.7 at the time of writing. When the sides met last season, Roma lost the first leg 1-0 before storming back and winning 4-1 with home advantage. Roma absolutely bossed that game, and finished with a high xG figure too so fully deserved the win. Feyenoord are having a good season in the Netherlands, but they are ten points behind PSV on the top of the table; obviously the difference between the Eredivisie and Serie A is quite high, and it’s no surprise to see Roma as favourites here. Indeed, I felt they would be a little shorter when I clicked into the market. They got back to winning ways at the weekend with a 3-0 win over Frosinone after losing 4-2 to Inter Milan; no shame in that as Inter are running away with the Serie A title.

That’s Four wins in five Serie A games for Roma. Despite the shock of sacking Jose Mourinho, especially considering he seemed to have the full support of the fans, Roma have definitely had a post manager sacking bounce. Usually that happens when the manager has lost the dressing room, but there weren’t any signs of that to be honest. The reason for the sacking was mainly Roma’s poor attacking; they have an average xG created of 1.28 in Serie A this season which is quite low. What they had going for them however is they’ve been exceptional at the back; their average xG conceded is the third best in Serie A and the figure at home is only 1.07. You’d have to expect another tight and tense affair between these two; I know Roma ran out 4-1 winners last season but I don’t see so many goals this time around! Under 2.5 goals is trading 1.99 and I was surprised to see that price, I really felt we’d have Unders lower and that looks the value play.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Under 2.5 goals at 1.99 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
