LA LIGA THURSDAY: The Ultra previews REAL MADRID v OVIEDO with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
REAL MADRID V OVIEDO
8.30pm The midweek La Liga action continues on Betdaq Betting Exchange, and all eyes turn to Real Madrid on Thursday night after losing El Clasico at the weekend. That confirmed the title for Barcelona which must hurt, but there seems to be so much fighting in the dressing room at Real Madrid at the moment, football seems to be secondary to the drama! Hosting Oviedo at the Bernabeu is a game that they will be fully expected to win, but it would take a brave punter to back Real given all the stories. Real are trading as short as 1.26 with Oviedo 13.0 and the draw is 7.6 at the time of writing.
The off-field situation at the Bernabeu is nothing short of a soap opera. Reports of players coming to blows in training have been all over social media for weeks, and it appears the dressing room atmosphere has deteriorated even further in the fallout from Sunday. The biggest talking point is the apparent exclusion of Mbappe – his attitude has come into question again. Player power clearly won with Xabi Alonso earlier in the season; but in hindsight was that the right decision? Should they have kept a world class coach and stood up to the players. Jude Bellingham has also looked deeply unhappy for long stretches of the season, and the ego clashes and fractured dressing room dynamics have clearly had a damaging effect on what happens out on the pitch.
Vini Jr has been a target for the fans, but they have seemingly moved onto Mbappe now. To be honest; both players look like their ego has got the better of them. And as if you thought the soap opera couldn’t get any better? Jose Mourinho’s name continues to be linked, which will only add more noise to an already toxic environment. He always seems to be leaving with a broken dressing room, never mind arriving! Whatever way you look at it, this is a Real Madrid side that is crying out for stability, and they stumble into this fixture against the side sitting bottom of the table!
Oviedo are certain for relegation, and their under-lining numbers are poor too. Their average xG created of 1.14 is the second worst attacking figure in La Liga, and their average xG conceded of 1.71 is the worst defensive figure. Away from home, it’s hard to see them doing anything here but as I said above, how could you back this Real side at the moment. Especially now that they have nothing to play for. Team selection will probably be the most interesting thing given all the dressing room drama. The 1.26 feels dangerously short given everything going on in that camp. Their run without a clean sheet is also a major issue; but Oviedo hardly have the talent in attack to take advantage. This is definitely a game for small stakes; and Over 2.5 goals looks the best option at 1.42 in the latest Real Madrid drama! All their short of doing is having a fight on the pitch!
The Ultra Says:
One point win Over 2.5 goals at 1.42 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
