INTER MILAN v AC MILAN

8pm It’s crunch time on BETDAQ Betting Exchange this week as we kick off the second legs of the Champions League Semi-Finals on Tuesday! We start with a massive Milan Derby, and AC Milan have all the work to do here two goals behind. The Champions League and Europa League first legs were all tense affairs last week, and this fixture is the only game this week where the difference is two goals. It’s hard to see a way back for AC Milan, but both sides know each other so well you never know what might happen!

The betting markets say it’s Inter Milan all the way however, and I have to agree. We landed a nice bet on Inter Milan last week, and they looked much the better side in the first leg. Heading into that leg it was clear that Inter were playing the better football and after a quick start they never looked back. AC Milan went on to lose 2-0 to Spezia at the weekend – we all saw the scenes of the players getting an earful from the Ultras after the game – the performance was poor and now they face ending their season in disappointment.

After the high of winning the Serie A title last season after so long, AC Milan have fallen out of the top four this season and they are getting a little adrift now too as the games tick down. Even if they win all their remaining fixtures that won’t be good enough now, they need other results to go their way. Lazio only drawing 2-2 with Lecce helped, but the gap is now four points. That loss was a real setback on Saturday, and AC Milan have to get over it quickly here.

AC Milan didn’t even play well the weekend; they didn’t deserve a result. It was clear looking at the xG figures that Inter were firing heading into the first leg, and nothing has changed in my opinion. Inter scored another four goals at the weekend while beating Sassuolo – they conceded more chances than I would have liked, but they are finishing the season very strongly now. Domestic wins over Lazio and Roma have put them in a strong position in the top four now too. They are on a six game winning run in all competitions, and they seem to be peaking at the right time.

Even on Inters “poor” run on paper around March and early April, they were still playing good football. They finished with an xG of 3.51 in a 2-1 loss against Spezia, created over double what they conceded in a 1-0 loss to Juventus, the same story against Monza and then finished the 1-1 draw with Salernitana with an xG of 2.28. They should have won all four games and not had to worry about the top four race. AC Milan have been the opposite lately – they are clearly struggling to create chances and score goals.

Inter Milan come into the game as the clear favourites. They are trading 2.16 at the time of writing with AC Milan 4.0 and the draw is 3.4. I can’t see past an Inter win here to be honest, however I’m happy to limit stakes because they don’t need to win. It will be interesting to see what tactics they employ, but AC Milan will have to chase the game and that will leave gaps. I don’t have a strong opinion on the goals market given the situation, but Inter should be a little shorter than 2.16 based on how the sides have been playing.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Inter Milan to beat AC Milan at 2.16 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
