LAZIO V JUVENTUS

8pm It’s crunch time in the Coppa Italia this week as we have the second legs of the Semi-Finals on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE. We kick off the action on Tuesday night with Lazio hosting Juventus, and Lazio have a lot of work to do here as they lost the first leg 2-0. Juventus have had a lot of issues away from home recently though, so this one might have drama. Lazio will have to put in their best performance of the season; however they have won four of their last five Serie A games, including a home game against Juventus. That win was only 1-0 though, and they’ll need more here!

We have a very open market – Juventus are the favourites at 2.6 with Lazio 2.98 and the draw is 3.4 at the time of writing. Juventus will be heading into this game aiming for a completely drama free very boring game. I can see them trying to make the game as slow as possible and making sure it doesn’t turn into an open game. It took Lazio until the 93rd minute to find a goal when the sides met recently in Serie A, but they did create an xG of 1.66 so they could have scored more. In general this season, Lazio have struggled to create decent chances. Their average xG created is only 1.12 which is exceptionally low – that’s in the bottom six attacking figures in Serie A this season.

Lazio over-performed last season to finish in second when everyone else was dropping points, but they have definitely been pretty poor this season. They’ve had to change the manager, but they have been solid at the back. They actually have an average xG conceded of only 1.09 at home this season which is impressive. They might have to concede a few chances here chasing the game, which in fairness isn’t Lazio’s usual style, but Juventus have had issues away from home this season. Away from home they are marginally conceding more chances than they are creating – Lazio have a decent chance here, it’s just whether or not they are good enough to overcome a two goal deficit.

Juventus also come into this game on a terrible run in Serie A. I know anyone who was a fan of xG figures was just waiting for Inter Milan to take over in the title race but the fall from Juventus has been very dramatic. They’ve only managed two wins in their last twelve Serie A games, and both of those wins came at home too. They are without a win in six away games, and to be honest the 2.6 looks very short on them here. I know Lazio have been limited this season, but I’d have the sides a lot closer together in the betting. This game screams a cagey affair too given the likely Juventus tactics and Lazio struggling to create decent chances, however Lazio have to open up at some stage. Under 2.5 goals is very tempting at 1.65 but the Juventus lay looks a nice position here at the odds.

The Ultra Says:
Three points lay (liability) Juventus to beat Lazio at 2.6 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
