CROATIA V PORTUGAL

7.45pm It’s the final matchday of the 2020/2021 Nations League and we have some huge matches tonight. All eyes will be on Spain v Germany later but we have an interesting situation at the bottom of Group A3. France and Portugal have been clear for most of the Group, but Croatia and Sweden head into the final day level on points in the race for relegation. Sweden are away to France tonight, so this is an excellent chance for Croatia to stay in League A. Unfortunately for Croatia they could have sealed their fate last weekend but they lost 2-1 to Sweden.

It’s fair to say that both these sides are in decline after peaking recently. Portugal had their moment when winning the Euro’s but now they are an ageing side. They are still top quality, but just not as good as they were. The same can be said about Croatia who haven’t been reliable since losing to France in the World Cup final. Portugal absolutely bossed Croatia earlier in the Group with a 4-1 win, and while this one might be closer I still feel it’s worth backing Portugal at 2.22.

The Ultra Says:
One point win Portugal to beat Croatia at 2.22 on BETDAQ Betting Exchange

SPAIN V GERMANY

7.45pm There’s no doubt this is the highlight fixture of the night! We have a very open market on BETDAQ Betting Exchange, with Spain 2.5, Germany 3.0 and the draw 3.6 at the time of writing. This game will decide who goes to the Nations League Finals and it should be a cracker. It’s fair to say both sides have been a little disappointing at times, taking nothing away from Ukraine and Switzerland, but they have both dropped plenty of points. Indeed, they both only have two wins from five games. Spain will be kicking themselves having been in an excellent position in this Group only to lose 1-0 to Ukraine and draw 1-1 with Switzerland.

I expect a very high quality game here, but for me Spain look too short at 2.5. I fully take on board that they have been slightly unlucky recently – they missed two penalties against Switzerland for example – but I would have Germany a little short than 3.0 and Spain a little higher at 2.5. From a value point of view, I’m very happy to have a small lay on Spain.

The Ultra Says:
One point lay (liability) Spain to beat Germany at 2.5 on BETDAQ Betting Exchange
