NETHERLANDS V MALTA

7.45pm We finish the International Break on Tuesday with the World Cup Qualifiers on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE. Once again, because of the Nations League, this has been an odd International Break. Not many of the top sides have been involved – it was even less in the last International Break given we had the Quarter-Finals. England, Netherlands, Italy and Belgium have at least added some quality. We’ve had some exceptionally short prices – the kind of games that generally turn football fans away from International games! Alas, we have to go through the qualifying process, and the lesser nations deserve their chance too.

We have action from Group G on Tuesday as Netherlands host Malta – this is a game that Netherlands will be fully expected to win given the gulf in class between the sides, and as expected they come into the game as the red-hot favourites. They are trading as short as 1.04 at the time of writing, so it’s fair to say that we’ll have to look around the side markets for some value here! The gulf in class between the sides is massive; it will be the goal and handicap markets as the focus in this one.

It’s fair to say that most football fans will be expecting Netherlands to top this Group – Finland, Lithuania and Malta are way off their level, and Poland haven’t been a strong force in a while. Obviously Netherlands had the Nations League Quarter-Finals in the last International break, so they are only starting their campaign over this break – they didn’t have any problems starting with a win on Saturday away to Finland. Malta lost their opening two games, at home to Finland and then away to Poland. They did manage a draw against Lithuania on Friday though; with home advantage.

Malta play their Nations League football at a D level; and couldn’t top a Group involving Moldova and Andorra last time. They did OK, but finished behind Moldova to get into the League C v League D playoff which will be played in March 2026. With Netherlands so short, and the gulf in class between the sides so big, this one is going to be about how many goals Netherlands can score rather than will they actually win. Obviously the goal and handicap markets are the focus; Both Teams Not To Score is trading 1.28 with Malta offering so little going forward. Netherlands are generally very attacking at home, and they can cover the 3.5 goal handicap here in my opinion – that’s worth a small investment at 1.91.

The Ultra Says:
One point win Netherlands -3.5 goals to beat Malta at 1.91 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
