INTER MILAN V AC MILAN

8pm We have a blockbuster Wednesday night from Europe on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE! We have a huge Milan Derby from the Coppa Italia and then it’s over to La Liga as Real Madrid aim to keep the title race alive for the time being. We kick off the action in Italy with Inter Milan and AC Milan clashing again in the second leg of their Coppa Italia Semi-Final. It’s locked at 1-1, and no doubt we’ll have another very close affair. Inter Milan come into the game as the favourites at 2.04 with AC Milan 4.1 and the draw is 3.65 at the time of writing. This was supposed to be the showcase fixture, but after the news on Monday morning that the Pope passed away, the Serie A fixtures on Monday have been moved to Wednesday. Still, all eyes will be on this clash – especially with the other Semi-Final already decided with Bologna winning the first leg 3-0 away from home. Inter come into the game under pressure – they lost at the weekend away to Bologna and now they are level on points with Napoli in the title race – they do have a Champions League Semi-Final to look forward to though, and of course the treble is still on, they just have a lot of work to do.

AC Milan have really struggled to get over the line in Serie A games this season – they sit down in ninth but they have the joint-second best attacking figure. They are marginally under-performing up front, but they are also over-performing at the back by roughly the same amount. It’s actually hard to put your finger on why they are sitting in mid-table and not the top four. They have had Inter’s number this season though – the sides have already met four times this season and Inter have yet to notch up a win. AC Milan have won twice – once in Serie A and the Italian Super Cup Final, then the last two meetings have finished 1-1. It’ll be interesting to see what tactics both sides employ here because obviously we have to have a winner, but it’s hard to see the game being too open. No one has to chase it from the start either. On balance, I’m going to keep stakes small because AC Milan have clearly struggled this season but given their run against Inter this season, I do feel that the 2.04 is too short on Inter. I expect a closer game than those odds suggest, and from a value point of view I’m happy with the Inter lay.

The Ultra Says:
One point lay (liability) Inter Milan to beat AC Milan at 2.04 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

GETAFE V REAL MADRID

8.30pm We move over to La Liga to finish Wednesday night as Getafe host Real Madrid. We had an exceptionally dramatic weekend in the La Liga title battle – Barcelona won with a goal in the 98th minute on Saturday following by Real winning with a goal in the 93rd minute! Barcelona are in action on Tuesday night, so Real could easily be seven points behind by kick off here. Indeed, it would be a surprise if they weren’t. It’s been a difficult little run for Real – they’ve dropped points in the title race and given Barcelona a four point advantage, and then they got dumped out of the Champions League by Arsenal. They’ve made far too many mistakes at the back, and they’ve put themselves under immense pressure with sloppy goals conceded. Obviously we’ve watched Real get themselves out of difficult situations time and time again, this month they just haven’t come up with the goods in pressure moments. Mbappe has got a lot of the blame, possibly unfairly, but you knew that was coming given the change to a brilliant Real squad from last season. It would be ironic if PSG went on to win the Champions League the season after he moves to the current Champions League holders!

Getafe have made themselves exceptionally tough to play against this season, and while they don’t create much going forward, they are rock solid at the back. They have an average xG conceded of 1.14 which is the third best defensive figure in La Liga this season. Real come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.85 with Getafe 5.0 and the draw is 3.75 at the time of writing. I have to say the 1.85 on Real feels a little short coming into this game. Obviously there is a gulf in class between the sides here, especially given the difference in attacking figures, but Getafe have been very impressive at the back this season and you have to respect that. Real will give them chances too, especially away from home. I feel with home advantage, Getafe can give it a good go here at getting a result, and very similar thoughts to the above game tonight – I expect a closer game than the odds suggest and I’m happy to have a small lay on Real from a value point of view.

One point lay (liability) Real Madrid to beat Getafe at 1.85 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
