KEEP THE WINNING RUN GOING Last week went very well for me, grabbing three results out of three, if you were luck enough to follow you would have made yourself a very nice profit!

I was worried about the Liverpool result, but Sunderland came back well in the end to grab a draw.

I am pretty confident this week that I can keep to my winning ways, and there are some cracking games to have a look at too, so I’m excited for the weekend.

ARSENAL TO CLOSE THE GAP

I have been big on both of these teams in recent weeks, picking them both to win last week, and they both put in good performances to record easy victories. Leicester were brilliant, it was five minutes into the game and you could see Man City had no chance. They couldn’t match Leicester’s intensity, they didn’t even come close! There can be no doubt in anybody’s mind that Leicester don’t have it in them to go all the way at this stage in the season.

Although I think they can go on and win, I see Arsenal having the edge in this game. They are one of the few teams who can actually match Leicester’s intensity and speed. They have pace abound in their team with the likes of Sanchez, Walcott, Monreal, Bellerin and even at centre back with Koscielny. They will be looking to stick the latter on Vardy all day. Although he wouldn’t match him for pace, he is one of the few centre backs who can come close.

When you consider that Arsenal will match Leicester for energy, then it all comes down to footballing quality. As I said last week, Arsenal love a team to try and play against them, it opens things up for them to make their intricate passes and tear teams to pieces. It happened in the first meeting between the two sides, where Arsenal ran out 5-2 winners, and I see something similar happening again this weekend. I think Arsenal are the worst team Leicester could face, they will outmatch them in terms of footballing quality, and it will certainly undo them.

There is also a question of how this Leicester team will get up for this game. Of course they will be motivated, how could they not be? But they have had a few big games in a row now, and it could take its toll. I don’t think a loss will do anything to hamper them majorly in their title chase, but I definitely think Arsenal will be closing the gap at the top this weekend. Verdict – Arsenal Win

MAN CITY SLIDE TO CONTINUE

Another brilliant game ahead on Sunday, which will have a major impact on how the top four is formed. I think this City team is really there for the taking. They have gone through another period of poor football after a couple of brief weeks on form and banging in goals. Spurs play in a similar manner to Leicester, and I think they have the beating of City.

The Man City team look very poorly conditioned right now, they look like a bunch of players who go training every morning and straight home, not putting in the extra work that is required. If you looked at the likes of Zabaleta, Kolarov, even Delph last week they looked absolutely dead on their feet. Delph in particular who we remember being a high energy centre midfielder at Aston Villa last year, was struggling to get from box to box last weekend.

Then you look at the Spurs threats, I can’t see anybody on City who will be able to deal with Delle Ali. Maybe Fernandinho, but he wont get much help from his teammates in trying to snuff out the Spurs danger. There is so much going on in City off the pitch that it is clearly having an effect on it. You may have thought they would have gotten a kick on with the news of Guardiola, as they are all now effectively interviewing for a job next season, but last weekend anyways, they were incredibly lethargic! I would easily go with laying Man City but I am going to go one better than that. Verdict – Spurs Win

WEST HAM HANGOVER FROM MIDWEEK

I think this is an excellent time for Norwich to get this West Ham side in the league. They are coming from a week off, and playing against a team who are no doubt tired after their exertions midweek. That was a pretty gruelling game against Liverpool, you could see by the end all players were out on their feet! It was a great win for them, but I think they will suffer from it in the league this weekend.

Norwich did some decent business in the January market in their bid to stay in the Premier League. Steven Naismith was an excellent buy, a relatively unused player by Everton but he always showed quality when given the opportunity. He also scored in his debut for the club against Liverpool, so he is a big addition to the side. I think he will be troublesome against this tired West Ham defence.

West Ham also have an abundance of injuries right now, so there isn’t many guys they can bring into the team. This just has a banana skin game written all over it for the Hammers. I think they will struggle a bit away against some of the lesser teams in the league for the rest of the season. They are falling back from the Champions League spots but are well ahead of their pre-season expectations, so I see them sleeping on a couple of away games for the rest of the season. I think Norwich will struggle in their relegation battle, but this weekend can be a massive boost for them. Verdict – Norwich Win
