WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS TUESDAY: We preview three World Cup Qualifiers on Tuesday and give the best BETDAQ bet for the games. We will be looking at Slovenia v England, Slovakia v Scotland and Germany v Northern Ireland.

Slovenia v England

7.45pm Most of the talk in the build up to his game has centered around the dropping of Wayne Rooney – will it have a positive effect like it did at Manchester United? The way things have been lately one would assume that most will say yes, but after “only” winning 2-0 at the weekend at home to Malta, England will have to improve to beat Slovenia here who have only lost one of their last nine qualifying games at home, winning six and drawing two – although it was England who beat them in 2015!

England seem to be a shade short to back at around the 1.66 mark, it’s highly likely Slovenia will pack midfield and try to make this a slow, defensive game and given the fact that England could only find the net twice against Malta, we feel that under 2.5 goals is better value here than the England win, they’re both currently priced up at 1.66. It’s also worth noting that the last six of England’s goals against Slovenia have been scored after half-time, so maybe there could be some value in 0-0 for a trade in the correct score market.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Under 2.5 goals at 1.66.

Slovakia v Scotland

7.45pm Scotland would have been bitterly disappointed not to beat Lithuania at home at the weekend and now face a tough trip to get some points against Slovakia. This is an absolutely must win for Slovakia after losing their two opening games to England and Slovenia – OK the England loss was probably expected but the Slovenia one would have been a shock and anything bar a win here and their qualification hopes are more than likely gone.

The good news for Scotland is that it’s now been four games since Slovakia actually scored, and with Scotland’s troubles at the back that has to be a positive for them, it is hard to see Scotland winning though should they not improve markedly on their performance against Lithuania and it seems that the best bet here is under 2.5 goals in a game were both teams need to find a bit of form.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Under 2.5 goals at 1.58.

Germany v Northern Ireland

7.45pm These two met as recently as Euro 2016 when Germany absolutely battered Northern Ireland but could only score once for a 1-0 win. Northern Ireland have been pretty solid at the back lately and that has brought them their success, but with Germany scoring three against Czech Republic and three against Norway, it’s hard to see how they don’t find the net a few times here – the question is how do you play it? Over 2.5 goals is as short as 1.52 and that doesn’t seem to be value, Any Other Home Win is 2.84, but can Germany score four against a solid, well-drilled Northern Ireland defense? The odds don’t appeal in our opinion.

We fully expected Germany to win here obviously but it may not be the thrashing that the market thinks given the match odds are as low as 1.12 and we’re going to take a chance in the correct score market with a 2-0 home win at 6.4 – there doesn’t seem to be much value around for this one.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Germany to win 2-0 at 6.4.
