NO RACING ON MONDAY IN IRELAND: SHAMROCK wraps up the events of the weekend at Tipperary.
Rebel Fitz landed the nap yesterday with the minimum of fuss but the 3/10 starting price in the Grade Two Istabraq Hurdle was partly due to the late defection of Orgilgo Bay.
Rebel Fitz put in a superb leap at the last and came away from Darwins Fox who made much of the early running.
Winning trainer Mick Winters said: Winters said: “It was his first time jumping since he got his injury so every day you’re a bit anxious. He’s very popular and he’s giving a lot of fun to an awful lot of people. I’d say we had another big following here from Kanturk today. He’s getting old now so maybe himself and Sizing Europe could have a race between the two of them at Christmas!”
