After a blip on Monday, the naps returned to winning form yesterday when Fascinating Rock won the Heritage Stakes at Leopardstown. He was also napped by colleague DAQMAN.

Like last season, Aidan O’Brien’s horses are a little slow off the mark early season and I couldn’t support War Envoy with confidence in the Craven Stakes at Newmarket this afternoon. He has the benefit of a recent run (at Dundalk) but was highly tried (and travelled) as a two-year-old and remains the winner of just one of his nine races.
Richard Hannon has won the last three Cravens and again has a strong hand with Moheet and Kool Kompany but it is a no play race for me.
Irish action from Limerick today where Dermot Weld looks to have some more solid chances.
Mulkeyya will be very short for the opener after an excellent debut second at the Curragh to The Warrior who finished third at Newmarket yesterday.
I thought the odds-on Vilman was worth opposing in the three runner finale. He looks quite harshly treated for a narrow maiden win and Magic Of Christmas has some quite decent form and the benefit of a recent run to her name.
