SHOUBAND LOOKS SHOE-IN: SHAMROCK’s nap runs at Tramore on the final day of their Festival.
Shouband looks the answer to the Philip Carroll Memorial Maiden Hurdle at Tramore this afternoon.
The six-year-old looks to face an easier task than he did last time when he ran a good third to Winter’s Over at Killarney – beaten just over three lengths. That was only his second outing over hurdles having been previously been kept busy in bumpers.
The Jim Culloty trained Midsommarkransen looks the danger as he is lightly raced and is also a class dropper. He finished fifth to Thomas Hobson at the Galway Festival over two miles but I’m not certain that this extra trip will be to his liking.
Victoryrowe was a good course and distance third earlier in the year and looks best of the rest.
