SHOUBAND LANDS SUNDAY NAP: SHAMROCK landed his nap and only bet of the day on Sunday with SHOUBAND (NAP) WON 5/4 at Tramore.
I enjoyed this year’s Tramore Festival and it was pleasing yesterday to end with a winning nap in the shape of Shouband (WON 5/4) in the maiden hurdle.

The race of the season is very much still on (keep everything crossed) with Golden Horn, Gleneagles and Time Test all standing their ground for the Juddmonte International at York on Wednesday and the surprise news today is that Joseph O’Brien is booked to ride Gleneagles.
The dual Guineas winner carries 8st 12lb and many thought it was unlikely that Joseph would be able to take the ride especially as he has struggled making even 9st this season.
Golden Horn was trading at around 1.8 on BETDAQ when the ante-post market suspended as news of the declarations were confirmed.
Tonight I like the look of Roibeard in the opener at Roscommon. He brings the benefit of experience and looked smart when making a winning debut at Down Royal. He sets a good standard and has a positive draw.
