NAP IN A HURRY TO WIN AT 7/4: SHAMROCK’S NAP and ONLY BET of the day on Wednesday ADOOL won the Hurry Harriet Stakes at Gowran Park at 7/4.
Adool swooped late on the scene to win the Hurry Harriet Stakes for Dermot Weld last night and land SHAMROCK’S NAP OF THE DAY (and only bet) at 7/4.
It continues a great run for the naps over the last two weeks which has included:
CAMIANN (NAP) WON 5/1
STELLAR MASS (NAP) WON 7/2
ADOOL (NAP) WON 7/4
and a NAP LAY on:
AIR FORCE BLUE (LAY) – FINISHED LAST AT EVENS
There’s a star on show at Leopardstown tonight with Hit It A Bomb making his reappearance in the Desmond Stakes.
He is unbeaten in three starts. A Curragh maiden, a Listed prize at Dundalk and then followed most notably with a win in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf at Keeneland in October.
Trainer Aidan O’Brien also saddles Cougar Mountain and General Macarthur and said: “He’s in good form and is just ready to start. It took a bit of time to get him back fit but he’s in good order.”
The early morning BETDAQ market has him at around 2.3 which would represent a cracking bet IF back to his best – but it’s impossible to know, for sure, how wound up he will be after a 286 day absence and it has to be a watching race for me.
For the nap, I’ve been waiting for the reappearance of Nuclear Option who ran a cracking race on her second start to finish a 66/1 second to Sea Swift at Naas. The winner followed up with an 11 length win at Sligo !!
The problem tonight, in the final race at 8.30, is the presence of the Dermot Weld trained debutant Sharliyna – but she makes the market and Nuclear Option looks the best of those with form and is around 5.2 on BETDAQ at the time of writing.
SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Nuclear Option (8.30 Leopardstown)
