PREMIER LEAGUE PREVIEW: It’s back !!!! Defending champions Leicester get the 2016/17 Premier League season off and running with their 12.30pm visit to Hull. The live tea-time game sees Man City play host to Sunderland – both sides with new managers. We preview each game.
Hull v Leicester
12-30pm Reigning Premier League champions Leicester kick off their campaign in the early kick off on Saturday against Hull and it is actually the first time in history that the Premier League Champions will kick off the season for us! They look to be a big price here to win at around the 1.97 mark, they put up a decent performance in the Community Shield against United and a repeat performance should be enough to beat this Hull side. A newly promoted side hasn’t won their opening game since West Ham beat Aston Villa in 2012, and you can currently lay Hull at around the 4.6 mark. For those who like your stats, Hull are one of the three sides in the Premier League who Vardy has failed to score against.
BETDAQ BEST BET: Leicester to beat Hull at 1.97.

Burnley v Swansea
3pm Another newly promoted side here as Burnley meat Swansea – this market is more open than Hull v Leicester and you would definitely give Burnley more chance of getting a result. They have a good goal scoring record on the first day – scoring in 17 of their last 18 opening day matches, while Swansea opening game also have plenty of goals with an average of over four goals per game over the last five seasons. With all that in mind, over 2.5 goals is currently trading around the 2.44 mark and that does look a shade of value in what seems like a tough match to call as far as the 90 minutes market is conceded.
BETDAQ BEST BET: Over 2.5 goals at 2.44.

Crystal Palace v West Brom
3pm These two finished last season in 14th and 15th position and you would think there won’t be much in this one – certainly with the way Pulis sets up West Brom it’s no surprise to see under 2.5 goals trading around the 1.6 mark – they’ve scored just 53 goals in 56 games under Pulis. In the match odds market, it’s hard to commit to backing Crystal Palace at 2.04 considering they finished the league so poorly last season, fair enough you could say that they always had their eyes on the FA Cup but lost 12 of 19 in the league, only winning two of those. On balance we prefer the Crystal Palace lay at 2.04 than under 2.5 goals at 1.6 and that will be our bet for this one.
BETDAQ BEST BET: Lay Crystal Palace v West Brom at 2.04.

Everton v Tottenham
3pm The highlight of the opening day 3PM kick offs. Everton are coming into this season off the back of a bottom ten finish and if Spurs continue in the same form that they were in last season, surely the 2.48 is too big on them. Everton are without a win in the last seven meetings between the sides too, and you can lay them at around 3.25 which may appeal as value to some – possibly the best way to play this one could be in the draw-no-bet market, and Spurs do look to be on the large side at 1.75 and that will be our bet for this one.
BETDAQ BEST BET: Tottenham draw-no-bet (or Asian Handicap 0) to beat Everton at 1.75.

Middlesbrough v Stoke
3pm Would you back a newly promoted team at 2.38 on the opening day? You’d want to be confident! As we noted above, a newly promoted team hasn’t won since 2012 – and while Middlesbrough did look good in the Championship last season, Stoke still remain a team who are hard to beat and the 2.38 on Middlesbrough looks too short. Stoke will have to improve on their recent away games at the back though, and failed to keep a clean sheet in their last 10 – but on balance at 2.38 it is worth laying Middlesbrough.
BETDAQ BEST BET: Lay Middlesbrough v Stoke at 2.38.

Southampton v Watford
3pm If you took league form only in the year 2016, then only Leicester recorded more points than Southampton – that is impressive and they should be able to comfortably beat Watford if continuing in a similar vein of form. They’re also unbeaten in their last five league meetings against Watford and Watford have failed to find the net in the last four. At around the 1.83 mark, Southampton do look to be on the large side and they will be our best bet here.
BETDAQ BEST BET: Southampton to beat Watford at 1.83.

Manchester City v Sunderland
5.30pm The beginning of the Pep Era at City starts! It will be hard to read too much into this game as he has a reasonably easy start at home to Sunderland, and City currently trading 1.26 – so not much value to be had there. Sunderland have never won away to City in the league, and City have won all of the last four league meetings – so the best option here might be to play the handicaps and hope City run out easy winners. City are currently trading around 2.2 -2 on the Asian Handicap which does appeal and were happy to have that as our best bet on this one.
BETDAQ BEST BET: Manchester City -2 Asian Handicap to beat Sunderland at 2.2.
