LAGANORE TO LAND GROUP 3: The Tony Martin trained Laganore looks the answer to the Blue Wind Stakes at the Curragh this afternoon.
A winning nap at Dundalk last night but it went off a short price.
Debutant Clinical Approach was sent off at 2/5 and as expected outclassed a rather modest field. He had to be kept up to his work in the closing stages but won well enough by two and a quarter lengths.
The feature race at the Curragh this afternoon is the Group 3 Blue Wind Stakes and there has been strong morning support for the Tony Martin trained Laganore.
Laganore won a Listed race at Newmarket on her final start of last season in good style and shaped well on her seasonal reappearance when third to Somehow at Gowran Park in another Listed event where today’s rival Beautiful Morning was fourth.
She proved she could handle this level at Gowran Park last season when a short head second to Duchess Andorra in a Group 3 race.
