PREVIEW

Hertha Berlin meet Shalke 04 in tomorrow night’s Bundesliga clash with the hosts looking to snap a four match winless streak. Although Markus Babbel’s side are struggling for victories, they have avoided defeat in three league games and last time out they secured a well-earned point at Kaiserslautern.

It will not be easy to maintain that run as the visitors are currently fifth in the table and only five points off the league leaders Borussia Dortmund. Shalke’s most recent outing was a convincing 3-1 win over Augsburg, although their last away league fixture ended in a disappointing 2-0 loss at Borussia Dortmund.

Shalke have certainly had the better of Hertha Berlin in their recent clashes and they have not been beaten for seven matches. These two last met in the 2009/10 campaign and Hertha Berlin failed to find the back of the net in the two games.

Raul continues to prove his quality in his twilight years and the former Real Madrid captain has scored in his past two matches. The Spaniard has been ably supported by Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, who has been in scintillating form since the start of the campaign. Huntelaar has already bagged 15 goals for Shalke this season and with their superior attacking talent, I cannot see them slipping up here.

My advice would be to back the away win at around 2.6 on BETDAQ.

RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)

Back Shalke 04 at around 2.6: 5 points

Wednesday’s Return: -4.00 points
