BETDAQ BRAND AMBASSADOR GAVIN CROMWELL: Latest news on his six runners tonight.

A very busy evening for us with six runners.

We have one runner in Down Royal, Ejayteekay bids to follow up her recent C&D win in the 2m handicap hurdle at 6.05. She enjoyed better ground that day and the race has worked out well. She went up 6lbs for winning last time and she’s going up in grade but she’s improved for getting her head in front and I’m hoping she can go close again tonight. Andrew Lynch rides.

We have five runners at Leopardstown

Gunmaker runs in the 5.55 7f handicap. It was unfortunate that this race was abandoned at Naas last week as he faces a deeper field this evening. He’s in good form at home having won on debut for the yard in January at Dundalk. He surprised us a bit that night and we decided to leave him off for the turf season. He’s in good heart at home, will enjoy the quick ground and he has a decent draw in stall 8. Wayne Lordan rides.

Knuckles Mcginty runs in the median auction maiden at 6.25. This looks a very competitive heat. He was working well at home before his debut and disappointed us a touch at Dundalk as we thought he’d be closer. He’s been gelded since and comes here in good form at home, it’s a big ask however. Ronan Whealan rides.

We run two in the 1m5f apprentice handicap at 7.55. Archers Up is having his first run for us today having claimed him after his Dundalk win last month. He’s rated 75 on the AW but 69 on the turf so this looked a nice opportunity for him. He’s working well at home and will enjoy this fast surface but the draw is a big negative from stall 20. Ross Coakley rides.

Johnny Carney is a nice type having his first run for the Gavin Cromwell racing club. We’re stepping him up in trip to 1m5f tonight and he’ll jump a hurdle in time. He hated the ground here the last day so you can put a line through that. He will be a nice horse in these races throughout the summer. He’s another that has a poor draw in stall 17 to overcome. Stable apprentice Conor Heavey rides.

Pandagreen is our final runner of the night in the 1m2f fillies handicap at 8.55. She’s having her first run back this season but she’s in good order and I’m hopeful of a good showing. She won this race off a 3lbs lower mark last year and will hopefully be involved at the business end again tonight. Wayne Lordan rides.
