PREMIER LEAGUE: We preview Sunday’s Premier League games with extended stats and a recommended BETDAQ bet including Man City v Man U at 4.30pm.

LIVERPOOL V FULHAM

12pm It hasn’t been a good week for these two sides. After losing 1-0 to Huddersfield on Monday night Fulham now sit bottom of the Premier League table, while Liverpool were embarrassed in the Champions League on Tuesday when losing 2-0 against Red Star. Liverpool have only won three of their last nine games in all competitions now and that is surely a stat you have to think about when considering that they are only 1.12 to win this game! They are unbeaten in their last 26 home Premier League games though and looking at Fulham’s record at the back; it’s impossible not to see Liverpool scoring a couple of goals here. Fulham have been woeful at the back and we can’t see that changing here – Klopp will want a response from his players after the poor result midweek and we can see a bloodbath for Fulham here. Liverpool are trading 1.89 -2.5 goals and that looks great value.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Liverpool -2.5 goals to beat Fulham at 1.89.

MATCH STATS

  • Liverpool have won their last four Premier League matches against Fulham, though this is their first league meeting since February 2014.
  • In all competitions, Fulham have managed just one win in their 33 away visits to Liverpool (D9 L23), scoring just four times in their last 17 games at Anfield.
  • Fulham have won just one of their 54 away league games on Merseyside against Liverpool and Everton (D11 L42), a 1-0 win against Liverpool in May 2012.
  • Liverpool have won all eight home Premier League games under Jurgen Klopp against newly-promoted teams, scoring 25 goals and conceding just three.
  • Fulham have taken one point from their last 18 Premier League games against the ‘big six’ sides (W0 D1 L17), losing all three games this season by an aggregate score of 2-11.
  • Liverpool are unbeaten in their last 26 Premier League home games, their longest such run since August 2009 (31 games).
  • Coming into the weekend, Fulham are one of just three teams yet to keep a clean sheet in English league football this season (along with Macclesfield and Sheffield Wednesday).
  • In their three Premier League games immediately following a Champions League fixture this season, Liverpool have scored exactly the same number of goals as they did in their European match (3 vs PSG/Southampton, 0 vs Napoli/Man City, 4 vs Red Star/Cardiff).
  • Daniel Sturridge has had a hand in five goals in his last three Premier League games against Fulham for Liverpool (4 goals, 1 assist).
  • For Liverpool in the Premier League, Mohamed Salah is averaging a goal or assist every 66 minutes against newly promoted teams (4 goals, 5 assists in 592 minutes).

CHELSEA V EVERTON

2.15pm Everton won’t be looking forward to this fixture as Chelsea are unbeaten in 23 home Premier League games against them! In all competitions, Everton are winless in 28 visits to Stamford Bridge. Chelsea had to travel in the Europa League on Thursday night but they weren’t pushed too hard and they have been very impressive in the Premier League this season. They are finding the net regularly now too; they’ve 18 goals in their last six games in all competitions. Everton have been solid this season, however they have shown anything to suggest that they can live with a side like Chelsea and with them having to play away from home we feel that Chelsea will cover the handicap here. Everton have a long-term poor record away from home playing the top London sides and we like Chelsea -1.5 goals at 2.26 which looks massive given the amount of goals they have been scoring this season.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Chelsea -1.5 goals to beat Everton at 2.26.

MATCH STATS

  • Chelsea are unbeaten in 23 home Premier League games against Everton (W13 D10) since losing 0-1 in November 1994.
  • In all competitions, Everton have won none of their last 28 visits to Stamford Bridge against Chelsea (D11 L17).
  • Only one team has ever had a longer winless away run against an opponent in Premier League history than Everton’s current 23 against Chelsea – Spurs went 25 away games without a win at Stamford Bridge between 1993 and 2016.
  • Everton have won one of their last 16 away Premier League games in London (D6 L9), losing their last four in a row, all during 2018.
  • Chelsea are looking to remain unbeaten in their opening 12 games to a top-flight season for only the second time, also doing so in 2014-15 (unbeaten in first 14).
  • Everton have lost 11 of their last 13 away Premier League games played on Sunday (D2) since winning 2-1 at QPR in March 2015.
  • Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fàbregas has had a hand in 10 goals in his last 10 Premier League games against Everton (5 goals, 5 assists).
  • If Chelsea avoid defeat here, Maurizio Sarri will set a new record for longest unbeaten start in the competition by a manager (12 games), overtaking Frank Clark’s 11 games in 1994.
  • Coming into this matchday, no player has been involved in more Premier League goals this season than Chelsea’s Eden Hazard (11 – 7 goals, 4 assists).
  • Everton manager Marco Silva has lost all six of his away Premier League matches in London – no manager has a worse 100% losing rate in London than Silva, with Nigel Pearson also losing six out of six in the capital; only one manager has lost his first seven Premier League away games in London (Mick McCarthy, who lost his first eight).

ARSENAL V WOLVERHAMPTON

4.30pm This is an interesting clash and an interesting market too! Arsenal have been very impressive thus far this season and came through their toughest test in the Premier League this season last weekend with a solid 1-1 draw against Liverpool. Wolves have adjusted to life in the Premier League well this season; however they haven’t look good enough to compete with the likes of Arsenal – especially away from home. Arsenal look huge here at 1.64 – they have been very impressive this season and they’ve been scoring goals with ease, especially at home. We feel that the best Wolves can hope for here is to stop Arsenal from scoring and that will be their main aim – however that will shut down their hopes of scoring and we see Arsenal finding the net eventually. We can’t get away from Arsenal at 1.64 and it looks the best bet of the day.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Arsenal to beat Wolverhampton at 1.64.

  • Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has scored five goals and assisted two more in five Premier League appearances against newly promoted sides.

MANCHESTER CITY V MANCHESTER UNITED

4.30pm The Manchester Derby, undoubtedly the highlight of the weekend! Jose Mourinho and Manchester United definitely added more spice to this fixture when managing to win away from home against Juventus in the Champions League on Wednesday night and surely they will go into this game will their confidence high and believing they can win. In truth though apart from that big win; they are having a poor season and it’s very hard to see Manchester City not winning this game.

The market agrees and City are heavy odds on favourites. At the time of writing the match odds are currently; Manchester City 1.43, Manchester United 8.8. and the draw is 5.3. We’ve been seeing some short prices on City this season – however this is a very short price for a Manchester Derby! It must be the shortest price City have ever been for a game against United in the Premier League. This is a huge fixture where emotions run high and while United have been poor this season; we can’t have City this short and we have to lay them at 1.43. They have only won two of their last eight against United and purely from a value point of view we’re very happy to lay 1.43.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Manchester City at 1.43.

  • Two of Man Utd’s three Premier League wins against Man City when they’ve trailed in the match have been away from home and from 0-2 behind – in November 1993 and April 2018.

  • There have been just three occasions of a team scoring 24+ goals after six home games in a Premier League season, with Man City responsible for all three (2013-14, 2017-18 and 2018-19).

  • Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling is still yet to score against Manchester United in the Premier League, attempting 19 shots in 12 games without success; among players with at least 50 Premier League goals, only Robbie Keane (22) has played more times against the Red Devils without scoring than Sterling.
  • Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero has scored 17 goals and assisted a further five in his last 13 Premier League games at the Etihad Stadium.
  • Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero scored seven goals in his first seven Premier League games against Man Utd, but has failed to score in his last three against them since.
  • Anthony Martial has scored in each of his last four Premier League games for Man Utd – he could become the seventh different player to score in five or more in a row for the club in the competition (Ruud van Nistelrooy x4, Wayne Rooney x2, Eric Cantona, Dwight Yorke, Cristiano Ronaldo and Robin van Persie).
  • This will be the 22nd meeting between Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola and Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho in all competitions – the Spaniard has won nine and lost five (D7) of the previous 21. He’s only lost more matches against Jurgen Klopp (7) than Mourinho (5) during his managerial career.
