PREMIER LEAGUE TUESDAY: A full week of Premier League matches starts on Tuesday with CRYSTAL PALACE V BOURNEMOUTH and BURNLEY V MANCHESTER CITY. We preview both games with a recommended BETDAQ bet and extended match stats.

CRYSTAL PALACE V BOURNEMOUTH

7.30pm We have midweek Premier League action to enjoy this week as we have a full fixture list over the course of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We kick things off with Crystal Palace hosting Bournemouth after an excellent win away to Burnley on Saturday. That was important after a very tough run of fixtures and now they have a great chance to add another three points against a Bournemouth side who have lost their last three.

The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Crystal Palace 2.22, Bournemouth 3.65 and the draw is 3.6. Apart from Bournemouth recent win against Manchester United they don’t have much to show; both sides sit beside each other in the table – however Palace have had to play Manchester City, Arsenal, Leicester, Chelsea and Liverpool before the weekend! With home advantage we expect Palace to win here, they have been performing well while Bournemouth have only managed one win in their last nine games in all competitions and that came at home to Manchester United who have been woeful away from home. Palace to win is a confident selection and the 2.22 looks cracking value.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Crystal Palace to beat Bournemouth at 2.22.

MATCH STATS

  • Having lost their first Premier League home game against Bournemouth, Crystal Palace are unbeaten in their last three against them at Selhurst Park (W1 D2), winning this exact fixture 5-3 last season.
  • Bournemouth are looking to avoid back-to-back league defeats against Crystal Palace for the first time since a run of three between April 1975-April 1988.
  • Both teams have scored in all four Premier League meetings between Crystal Palace and Bournemouth at Selhurst Park, with 17 goals being netted in total in these games (4.3 per game).
  • Crystal Palace have won just one of their last nine evening kick-offs (7pm or later) in the Premier League (D2 L6), winning 2-0 at Wolves in January.
  • Bournemouth have lost their last five Premier League games in London, conceding 19 goals in the process. The Cherries had lost just one of their previous six in the capital prior to this run (W3 D2).
  • Bournemouth have won 44% of their Premier League games played on Tuesday (W4 D2 L3) – only on Fridays (100% – 2/2) do they have a better win rate on a specific day of the week in the competition.
  • Crystal Palace have lost each of their last three Premier League home games, last losing more consecutively at Selhurst Park in February 2017 (5). Manager Roy Hodgson has never lost four in a row at home with a single club in the competition, however.
  • Bournemouth have lost their last three Premier League games, last losing four in a row just over a year ago to the day (1st December 2018).
  • Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha has scored in back-to-back Premier League games, after a run of 13 without a goal in the competition. He last scored in three league games in a row back in February.
  • Five of Harry Wilson’s six Premier League goals this season have been scored away from home. Indeed, the Welshman has netted 56% (five out of nine) of Bournemouth’s nine away league goals this term.

BURNLEY V MANCHESTER CITY

8.15pm many football fans thought Manchester City were already too far behind Liverpool heading into the weekend, and now with City losing more points it looks like Leicester will be the main challenger to Liverpool. It will be very interesting to see how Guardiola and his team react to being out of the league so early, will we see their heads drop? Will they become uninterested? It will be fascinating to see how they react in the coming months. Perhaps they can focus on the Champions League.

Tonight anyway, they have to travel to Burnley and the match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Burnley 14.5, Manchester City 1.26 and the draw is 6.8. The problem for City this season has been at the back; they just can’t defend at the moment. They’ve conceded two goals in both of their last two away games and this has been their downfall. They looked all over the place against Liverpool and while they should get the job done against Burnley – the home side can keep it close. Burnley are trading 2.2 +1.5 goals and given the goals City have conceded this season and the fact they are short on confidence, the 2.2 is worth backing for Burnley to keep it close.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Burnley +1.5 goals to beat Manchester City at 2.2.
