BUNDESLIGA SUNDAY: Our new European football tipster The Ultra previews MAINZ v AUGSBURG and SCHALKE v BAYER LEVERKUSEN on Sunday with recommended BETDAQ bets.

MAINZ V AUGSBURG
2.30pm This will be a good game between two evenly matched sides. Augsburg were unlucky to draw last weekend to Koln, and I was unlucky not to collect on over 2.5 goals. Augsburg had an xG of 2.26 but only scored once. Mainz put in a great performance against Eintracht Frankfurt, scoring twice but generating an xG of over 3 goals. Both sides are showing an xG of over 3 heading into this game, Mainz games at home are just over 3 while Augsburg away games are up towards 3.5.
I feel the match odds are about right. Mainz are favourites and at around 2.5 mark I have no objection. Ausgburg are conceding over 2 goals per away game but apart from the Eintracht Frankfurt game you couldn’t say that Mainz are in excellent form. I like over 2.5 goals here at 1.9 which looks too big. It has to be a worry that two very similar teams bump into each other and cancel each other out, but xG says there should be goals here. Both sides concede plenty at home and away and 1.9 is worth backing.

SCHALKE V BAYER LEVERKUSEN
5pm What can you say about Schalke recently? They have been dreadful. A Bayer Leverkusen win is my most confident bet of the Saturday and Sunday fixtures. Schalke might have ended a losing run last weekend when they drew 1-1 with Union Berlin, however they were incredibly lucky to do so. Union Berlin won the game on xG by 2.63 to 0.15. Schalke just aren’t creating chances. In the five games since lockdown they have created an xG of 0.15, 0.85, 0.87, 0.91 and 0.41. Terrible.
Leverkusen are having a great season, and there’s no shame in losing 4-2 to Bayern Munich as they did last weekend. They lost 4-1 to Wolfsburg recently too, but xG had that one a little closer than the score line. Unlike Schalke, they have been creating plenty of chances and have won 10 of their 15 away games this season. If this game goes anyway like xG says this season, Leverkusen win easily. Nothing about Schalke says they are playing well and the 1.59 on Leverkusen is massive.
