FIVE NAPS UP OUT OF SEVEN: Shamrock , famous for his naps sequences, is on another roll, with five out of seven, and a current grand total of seven out of 10. Yesterday’s was Lamb Or Cod (WON 11-10). The 10-horse sequence is 11P1110131

I’m following the Betdaq market again. Hitching up to yesterday’s outstanding early-doors money landed me the nap, and I shall try the same strategy today.

Roman General (6.20 Dundalk) stormed to the front of the exchanges ahead of Mazarak, with the paper favourite, the unraced Filatore, attracting very little interest at 8.4.

The Aga Khan’s Mazarak is also unraced and well bred for this contest but trainer Mick Halford is 0-52 with his three-year-old newcomers at Dundalk.

It would seem from the market that Halford has a better chance with Danick of Time (9.15). The front-runner is the back-and-lay bet of the evening.

If you fancy him to make all, or nearly so, I recommend being ‘on’ before the horse who beat him a length here only a month ago runs in the 7.20 handicap and gives him a boost.

Aragorn Rouge is the name and he’s gone in again – over today’s CD – since then, but is upped only a total of 5lb.

Prince Of Fire has also scored (over further) since running two lengths behind Aragorn Rouge over CD five weeks ago and that success means the Prince is another 4lb worse off today.

It’s a fascinating contest but there’s plenty of collateral form, with Confidence the benchmark by which to judge to Belle Noverre, Little Arrows, Mutasaareb, Strandfield Lady and, by further reference, Spin Of A Coin.

What comes through all of this is a great chance to return to her November form for CD winner Elizabeth Coffee, beaten with a boy up last time but earlier given a perfect ride by today’s pilot Shane Foley from the same stall one she’s been lucky enough to draw today.

NEXT BEST: Danick Of Time (9.15 Dundalk)
EACH-WAY: Elizabeth Coffee (7.20 Dundalk)
