EURO QUALIFIERS: Our European football tipster The Ultra previews Thursday’s Euro Qualifiers between NORTHERN IRELAND v SLOVAKIA and SERBIA v SCOTLAND both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

NORTHERN IRELAND V SLOVAKIA
7.45pm A massive night awaits! It’s a real shame for Northern Ireland fans that this fixture arrives behind closed doors, because Windsor Park would be absolutely rocking. Alas, 2020 has taken its toll on the sporting world. Northern Ireland have a massive opportunity here. They face a pretty weak Slovakia side who failed to score with home advantage against Ireland, lost against Scotland and lost against Israel. This is Northern Ireland’s chance to get to Euro 2020 (or 2021 as it now is!)
Slovakia were missing key players for their game against the Republic of Ireland, but they performed very poorly. Ireland are a very poor side themselves, indeed Finland have beaten them twice in the Nations League this season, but they had the best chances and probably should have won before the game went to penalties. Northern Ireland have had a tough time in the Nations League but they are a cracking bet here at 2.88 on BETDAQ Betting Exchange. I would have them much shorter against this Slovakia side. I would be worried about a very close game and possibly a cagey 0-0, so I have accounted for that in the staking, but the 2.88 looks an excellent value play.

SERBIA V SCOTLAND
7.45pm Just like Northern Ireland, a massive night for Scotland here. How dearly they would love to reach a major tournament after so long. They face a very tough task however against this Serbia side. Scotland were always going to need the Playoffs after being drawn in a Group with Belgium and Russia, and they will feel they are meeting Serbia at the right time. Serbia are currently bottom of their Nations League Group with only two points from four games; however they did top their Group in 2019, and they were probably focusing on the qualifiers.
Nevertheless, Scotland will feel now is their time. Serbia were quite similar to them in the sense that they were always going to need a Playoff after getting a Group with Portugal and Ukraine, however they did manage to beat Norway 1-0 and that is pretty strong form. Scotland come here with confidence but they have been playing at a low level – and there was always going to be nothing between themselves and Israel. I feel this will be a closer game than 1.75 suggests on Serbia, and the draw is worth a small investment at 3.85. Serbia will likely get the job done, but Scotland can keep things tight and the draw looks a value play.
