ENGLAND V REPUBLIC OF IRELAND

8pm Two old foes face off at Wembley on Thursday night as England host the Republic of Ireland. This fixture was only arranged at the last minute after Ireland lost their European Qualifier. How dearly they would love to be playing that fixture instead tonight! Both sides have had issues this year, with England players getting into hot water away from home and the side not playing great football. Ireland have had a complete overhaul with a new manager, but it hasn’t produced success.

This is another chance for Ireland to try and “play football” as they have been saying – the long ball game they played for years is now gone, and they are trying to play out from the back. So far it hasn’t worked and while 50% of Irish fans have said that they are improving, the other 50% say the opposite. Only time will tell.

The reality tonight is that England should fully outclass this Irish side and the market is expecting that with England trading 1.36. Ireland’s main problem is scoring goals and has been for years. They have been pretty poor in their recent Nations League games with two draws and two losses, they have only managed one goal. They’ve lost twice to Finland and England should be able to stop them scoring tonight too.

I feel we’ll get a dull affair here with a low tempo as Ireland struggle to create many chances. It might be a slow start and good for trading on BETDAQ Betting Exchange. England will likely dominate the ball and the game, and while they won’t be all over them it’s likely we see a similar game to the recent England and Wales game here when England won 3-0. Ireland could frustrate England a little more and we might not see three goals, but I struggle to see Ireland scoring. Both Teams Not To Score is 1.7 with BETDAQ Sportsbook and that looks worth backing.

The Ultra Says:
One point win Both Teams Not To Score at 1.7 on BETDAQ Betting Exchange
