ODDSTRACKER: This week we take a look at the incredible finish in Sunday’s NFL clash between the Cardinals and Bills which saw Arizona claim victory with the final play of the game.

Murray Magic: Tracking the odds as Cardinals beat Bills with last play of the game

We’ve been lucky enough to have seen plenty of exciting finishes in the NFL already this season, but it’s going to be pretty hard to top what was witnessed at the State Farm Stadium on Sunday evening.

Given he was the first overall pick in the 2019 Draft, plenty has been expected of the Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray, and he’s shown glimpses of what talent he has, but his performance against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday is the one that has really turned people’s heads.

At BETDAQ, we’ve tracked the odds to show how the Murray-led Cardinals pulled off a virtually impossible comeback.

Although they were 7-2 heading into the contest, Buffalo were the outsiders at 2.1, with the Cardinals, winners of their last four matches, the favourites at 1.73.

An early Cardinals field-goal saw them shorten into 1.57, but a Josh Allen touchdown soon after meant the Bills ended the first quarter as the 1.8 favourites.

A series of field goals in the second quarter saw Buffalo lead at the half 16-9 and they were fancied to go and win the game at just 1.44, with Arizona now out to 2.75.

Cole Beasley’s touchdown early in the third quarter meant the Bills now had a 14-point advantage and the visitors were now only 1.14 for victory, with the Cardinals significantly on the drift at 5.5.

That kickstarted a chaotic quarter which saw the hosts storm back into contention thanks to two touchdowns, a shanked Bills punt as well as a turnover.

As the third quarter ended Arizona led 26-23 and were back into favouritism at 1.67, with Buffalo at 2.15.

However, things took another turn when Murray’s pass was intercepted and then Allen found Stefon Diggs in the endzone with just over 30 seconds to go.

The impressive drive looked to have sowed things up for Allen and the Bills who were now just 1.07 for victory, with Arizona 8.0.

But just when you thought things couldn’t get any more improbable, Murray pulled off the most unlikely of plays as he hurled a speculative pass in the endzone which, in incredible scenes, DeAndre Hopkins somehow leapt between two Bills defenders to pluck the ball out of the air and give his side the most unlikely of victories.
