BUNDESLIGA/SERIE A PREVIEW: Our European football tipster The Ultra previews Sunday’s games between BAYERN MUNICH v SC FREIBURG, EINTRACHT FRANKFURT v SCHALKE and INTER MILAN v JUVENTUS all with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
BAYERN MUNICH V SC FREIBURG
2.30pm Once again a superb Sunday in Europe! We have a huge clash in Serie A later on, however we start the action in the Bundesliga with the German Champions Bayern Munich hosting SC Freiburg. Bayern Munich haven’t been at their best this season, they will still be good enough to lift the Bundesliga title, however the race is going to be a lot closer this season. They had a surprise 3-2 loss against Gladbach last weekend, and although they have been winning a lot of games you can see by looking at their xG figures they haven’t been bossing games like they usually do. It will be interesting to see how they get on against a Freiburg side who have won five in a row and must be full of confidence.
Freiburg have nothing to lose here given nobody will expect them to win, and the markets would agree with that as Bayern are trading as short as 1.26 on BETDAQ Betting Exchange. That looks very short to me, although granted they will probably get the job done in the end. Freiburg have been playing average Bundesliga teams, but they have scored 12 goals in their last three games, and record two 2-0 wins before that too. I feel they can at least score here against a Bayern side who like to play an end-to-end game. BTTS looks worth backing at 1.53 to start the day.

EINTRACHT FRANKFURT V SCHALKE
5pm Our old friends Schalke finally got a win last weekend. It’s about time they made the headlines for the right reasons, however most of the press coverage centred around them avoiding going a full calendar year without winning. I noted in recent weeks that things were slightly on the improve as they had been creating a lot more chances. Their problems still continue at the back however, and even though they beat Hoffenheim 4-0 they still conceded an xG of 1.93 so there’s still plenty of work to do.
We have made a lot of money opposing Schalke since football returned from lockdown after picking up on their xG figures and while we have cooled out interest in them in recent weeks, I think this is an excellent opportunity to oppose them again. Of course there’s going to be a bit of buzz around them now they have ended their run without winning, however that xG conceded is still very concerning. Couple that with the fact Frankfurt arrive into this fixture in red hot form. They have created 2.38, 1.71, 2.45 and 2.02 in their last four games – beating Bayer Leverkusen along the way who are having a great season. With Schalke still giving up chance, Frankfurt will out score them here.

INTER MILAN V JUVENTUS
7.45pm We end the day with a huge clash in Serie A. We have a massive clash in England today as Liverpool take on Manchester United, but this is just as big in Italy. Inter have lost ground in recent weeks with a loss against Sampdoria and a draw against Roma. In fairness to them they performed very well in both games, the result just didn’t go their way. AC Milan have been able to hold onto their lead at the top of Serie A even after losing to Juventus but now Juventus are gaining now as they are six points behind the leaders with a game in hand. They are only four points behind Inter too with a game in hand, so this clash is absolutely massive.
A win here would be massive for Juventus after their recent win against AC Milan – it would really get them back into the title mix. A loss and they will be left with a lot of work to do, so the stakes couldn’t be any higher. Inter have been very impressive this season though, and the 2.5 is too big to turn down in my view. Juve give up a lot of chances and when you look at what Inter have been creating there is only one winner here. Sometimes xG throws up some excellent bets, and everything points to Inter here. They may come here off the back of two leagues games without a win, but xG says their performances have been very good (xG’s of 2.61 and 1.92) and if they play like that again today they will win.
