BUNDESLIGA / LA LIGA PREVIEW: Our European football tipster The Ultra previews Monday’s games between BAYERN MUNICH v ARMINIA BIELEFELD and CADIZ v ATHLETIC BILBAO both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
BAYERN MUNICH V ARMINIA BIELEFELD
7.30pm We start Monday night football from Europe with the German Champions as Bayern Munich host Arminia Bielefeld after landing the FIFA Club World Cup on Thursday night. Anything bar a Bayern win here would be a massive shock as they are trading as short as 1.17 on BETDAQ Betting Exchange. I feel they are a great option to put in BETDAQ Multiples today, but I have to mention one worry. They landed the UEFA Super Cup earlier in the season and then lost 4-1 to Hoffenheim the weekend after. They were trading around 1.2 that weekend too! They have more time to recover here, but that would just be a little worry to consider before lumping on the 1.17 here.
Arminia Bielefeld have adjusted to life in the Bundesliga reasonably well, and they have put themselves in a decent position away from the bottom two. They started the weekend four points clear with a game in hand on Mainz and Schalke below them. Now they have a chance to get out of the relegation Playoff spot. They won’t be expecting much from this fixture, and I can see them having a go. They have nothing to lose and who knows, it might just be a good time to attack Bayern after a busy week in the FIFA Club World Cup. The problem for Arminia Bielefeld is they have conceded eight goals in two games and when you’re conceding goals like that against the likes of Koln and Eintracht Frankfurt – you’re going to concede more against Bayern! I feel we’ll see goals here, and Bayern have conceded their fair share recently too. Any Other Home Win is tempting, but over 3.5 goals is worth backing at 1.7.

CADIZ V ATHLETIC BILBAO
8pm This might not appear to be the most glamorous La Liga tie on a Monday night, but it’s a very important game for both these sides. Things are very tight towards the bottom of the table this season with only four points between 18th and 12th at the start of this Matchday. Bilbao are probably just out of the mix as they are happily in 11th but they are only five points clear themselves and it doesn’t take much to get dragged out in a bottom three fight. Cadiz are only one point behind Bilbao, so you can see how important this game is for both sides. The loser is under pressure and the winner stays in mid-table safety. Cadiz have adjusted to life in La Liga very well, however they come into this fixture without a win in five and they conceded 11 goals in their last three games.
They have had to play Sevilla, Atletico Madrid and Real Sociedad in that run, but they were woeful against Real Sociedad the weekend before last – they conceded an xG of 5.31! It’s not often we see xG figures that high. They were lucky to draw with Levante prior to that run too, and on balance Bilbao should get the job done here. They have a lot more solid look to them, but the 2.12 looks about right in the betting for me and I much prefer over 2.5 goals at 2.55. I’m very surprise to see it priced that high as Cadiz play a very open game and there has been plenty of action in Bilbao’s recent games too. I’d have overs closer to evens here and I’m very happy to take some 2.55.
