7.45pm The World Cup Qualifiers continue on Tuesday evening and while we have plenty of action, I’m going to focus on this massive game in Group E. This is a huge game for Wales. They lost, as expected to be fair, in their opening fixture against Belgium but they wouldn’t have enjoyed seeing Czech Republic pick up a draw with Belgium on Saturday night. That result leaves Wales massively on the back foot in the race for a Playoff place as you would assume Belgium will win the Group. With home advantage, they have to get a result with a win being a dream result.

I have to say the Czech Republic and Belgium game was very entertaining on Saturday, and if they can create the same amount of chances then they should win here. It was an impressive performance, and even the manager remarked afterwards they if they can repeat the same level then they will go well against Wales. While this is a big game for Wales, it’s just as important for the Czech Republic as they will assume Belgium will top the Group too.
Wales took an early lead away to Belgium, but they were quickly outclassed and went into half time 2-1 down before losing the game 3-1. Belgium said afterwards that Wales gave them a tough test, but Belgium controlled the game and when you look at how Wales and Czech Republic played against Belgium, you would have to favour Czech Republic here.
It’s hard to see anything bar a very close game. Perhaps we will have a cagey start given neither side will really go for it – a draw might suit both, but it would definitely suit Czech Republic more after the Belgium draw. That being said, it’s far too early in the Group stage to be playing for a draw when you’re not against the really top sides. I’m happy to keep stakes small but I feel Czech Republic can outclass this Wales side and they are worth backing at 2.7. They have played much better football over the last week and they can pick up a massive win.
