WEEK AHEAD: With the domestic football season drawing to a close, attention turns to the European finals, whilst darts is also back.
Monday and Tuesday are quiet introductions to a week that is not at its usual frantic pace, but what we miss in quantity, it’s made up for in quality. Premier League Darts returns on Sky Sports from 19:00 and the action can be seen daily from Monday until Friday’s play-offs where the top-four players in the league will go head-to-head in two semi-finals and the final.
Wednesday is the first of two European finals this week with Villarreal and Manchester United in action on BT Sport as they battle it out in the Europa League final. The action can be seen from Poland at 20:00 and United fans will be hopeful they can emulate their 2016/17 success in the competition.
Thursday sees a come down for golf fans after last week’s PGA Championship in the shape of the Charles Schwab Challenge, with coverage starting at 22:30 on Sky Sports and all four days will be live until the culmination of the tournament on Sunday. There’s a mirror repeat of the action on Friday before we move on to the weekend.
Saturday is the big one. Football fans around the world will be gathering to watch as the Champions League sees an all-England final in Portugal as Chelsea and Manchester City fight it out for top honours.
Sunday, as mentioned, sees the final days play in both the cricket and golf, alongside the League One play-off final, featuring Blackpool and Lincoln City, which can be seen on Sky Sports from 15:00. It’s not the jam-packed week that we have become accustomed to but one that is certainly not lacking in any quality.
