UKRAINE V NORTH MACEDONIA
2pm We have another absolutely fascinating day at Euro 2020 on Thursday and hopefully we can continue our superb form! It’s been an excellent start with four winning Max Bets already. There’s been some incredible value on offer with all matches 0% Commission on BETDAQ Betting Exchange. We start the day with Ukraine taking on North Macedonia in a must win game for Ukraine. I felt North Macedonia would be the “whipping boys” in Group C and although they performed a little better than expected against Austria, they still lost 3-1. With Ukraine losing 3-2 to Netherlands, that leaves them in a tricky position. They must win here and then draw (for third rankings) or beat Austria which won’t be easy. Both sides had very similar xG figures in their first game, with Ukraine conceding 2.07 and creating 0.70 while North Macedonia conceded 2.46 and created 0.79.
Ukraine got matched at 1000.0 on Sunday when 2-0 down against the Netherlands before pulling it back to 2-2, I’m sure we had some very nervous layers before Netherlands scored again! Ukraine are a solid side, and should win here. They are levels above North Macedonia – Ukraine might have been relegated from the Nations League but they had Spain, Germany and Switzerland in Group A4. North Macedonia played a little better than I thought they would against Austria, and I’m sure their tactics will be to defend here again but Ukraine are worth backing at 1.71. When you compare the level Ukraine are playing at in the Nations League to North Macedonia, they are worlds apart. North Macedonia were in a Group with Armenia, Georgia and Estonia and didn’t even top it. We landed a Max Bet on Austria to beat Ukraine at similar odds, and while this is quite a Max Bet, it’s a very confident one at the odds.

DENMARK V BELGIUM
5pm A fascinating match here. I’m so happy Christian Eriksen is OK and recovering nicely in hospital after that awful incident. With the benefit of hindsight, Denmark shouldn’t have really played the game later on. I’m not really sure what other options they had, and I believe Eriksen wanted them to play. The Denmark manager has said now it was the wrong decision. That loss against Finland leaves them in a very tricky position, and there’s a lot of the line for them here. One wonders what kind of energy they have – obviously the Finland game was very emotional and they looked empty in the second half. It will take a lot to recover from that, and now they face one of the best sides in the tournament. It was fantastic to land a Max Bet on Belgium against Russia, and I believe we can land another Max Bet on Belgium here. The 2.1 looks incredible value.
Belgium made Russia look very poor in their opening game. They have been a very impressive side for a while now, and this is their big chance to win a major tournament. They come into the tournament in peak form, and while I know the first game for Denmark wasn’t what anyone could have imagined, they are levels above this Denmark side. We landed our lay on Denmark in their first game because they didn’t have impressive xG figures coming into the tournament. They don’t create a huge amount, and they struggled against Ireland who are a very poor side. Denmark can keep games tight and I’m sure they will make this hard work for Belgium, but the price is so big I’m still happy to have a Max Bet. Belgium should be odds on in my opinion. They drifted a lot before kick off in their first game with some players missing or on the bench, but anything over 2.0 here is too big for me.

NETHERLANDS V AUSTRIA
8pm We finish the day with a huge game in Group C. Both sides won their opening game and although they both had tricky moments, they both scored three times. North Macedonia frustrated Austria until the 78th minutes and then Netherlands had the game won at 2-0 only to have to chase the game against when Ukraine pulled it back to 2-2. This is a fascinating game in my opinion, as Austria are a very underrated side. We landed a nice Max Bet on them to beat North Macedonia, and I feel they can get a result here. Netherlands are too short for me at 1.62, and I fully expect the game to be closer than those odds reflect. Netherlands fans must be loving being in a major tournament again, but they haven’t progressed since Ronald Koeman left. They have a number of issues at the back too, as we saw at times against Ukraine.
Austria created a good xG figure against North Macedonia, and they will get a lot of chances against this Netherlands side. I know Netherlands are a very impressive side going forward, and of course they can outclass this Austria side – but the 1.62 is just too short. We could see a lot of goals here too – the Netherlands game was very entertaining and they have had some very big score lines lately! I’m not surprised to see over 2.5 goals odds on at 1.77, and that’s definitely of interest. We were on Both Teams To Score at odds against in their last game, and that’s trading odds on here. Those two bets are very tempting, and I couldn’t put anyone off them – but for me it’s more value to lay the Netherlands as I believe that is the price that is most out of line.
