FRIDAY IN EUROPE: The Ultra previews AUGSBURG v BAYER LEVERKUSEN and ATHLETIC BILBAO v CADIZ both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
AUGSBURG V BAYER LEVERKUSEN
7.30pm Another weekend begins around Europe on BETDAQ Betting Exchange! We have our usual slot of Friday Night Football with one fixture from the Bundesliga and one from La Liga! We might not have the most glamorous fixtures, but we have two interesting betting heats with odds on favourites. We start the evening in the Bundesliga where Augsburg host Bayer Leverkusen. Augsburg come into this game under pressure in the relegation race, however they did get a big three points at home to Gladbach recently. They have returned from the World Cup with a reasonably difficult fixture list – they had to play Dortmund and Freiburg away from home and those two sit in the top five at the moment. Apart from Schalke who don’t look good enough for the Bundesliga, it looks like it’s going to be a very tight race in the relegation battle and Augsburg will be slap-bang in the middle or it. Bayer Leverkusen will be disappointed to be sitting in mid-table after breaking back into the top four last season. They have been in the European spots for years, but a bad start to this season has put them in trouble of missing out on European football. They start the weekend eight points off Eintracht Frankfurt who sit in sixth.
Bayer Leverkusen come into the game as the odds on favourites, currently trading 1.87 at the time of writing. They haven’t been fully reliable this season, so I would be keeping stakes in check here. Despite Augsburg winning their last home game since the World Cup and losing their two away games, don’t let that fool you. They actually have more points away from home this season – they have only managed eight points at home this season which puts them joint last in the home form table with Schalke who also have eight points. As you would imagine looking at the table, the Augsburg under-lining numbers aren’t good viewing. They are conceding an average xG of 2.0 per game this season. Leverkusen broke a winning run with a 2-0 loss against Dortmund last weekend, but they actually finished the game with a higher xG figure. Because their start to the season was so poor, it feels like they are having a poor season sitting in mid-table but they are actually playing great football at the moment. Before that loss to Dortmund they had put five wins together, those coming either side of the World Cup of course. They have been banging in goals for fun, and they created decent chances against Dortmund too – I’m not going to go mad but three points at 1.87 is a nice bet to start the evening.
The Ultra Says:
Three points win Bayer Leverkusen to beat Augsburg at 1.87 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

ATHLETIC BILBAO V CADIZ
8pm We move to La Liga to finish the evening as Athletic Bilbao host Cadiz. This is a huge game for both sides when you look at the table. For Athletic Bilbao, they are slipping down the table as the weeks go by at the moment. They have put together three losses and have yet to win a game since returning from the World Cup. They went into the World Cup in great form and it even looked like they might at least challenge for a European spot, but they start the weekend sitting in ninth now and there’s five points to sixth. It looks like they’ll be sitting in mid-table again this season. They will surely be viewing this fixture as a good chance to get back to winning ways though against a side who sit in the bottom three. Cadiz recorded a huge win last weekend over Mallorca, but they stayed in the bottom three with Celta Vigo and Real Valladolid winning as well. They are in the relegation mix, but hope must be high – they are playing better football and they have definitely given themselves a chance at staying up. Obviously home form is always important when you are in the relegation battle, but I wouldn’t say Cadiz have been poor away from home. They have certainly managed more points away compared to the sides around them anyway.
Athletic Bilbao are coming into the game as the favourite odds on favourites. They are trading 1.46 at the time of writing, and that definitely feels a little too short for a side who have yet to win since we resumed after the World Cup. You could say that Athletic Bilbao have been unlucky at times, but their xG figures haven’t been too impressive nonetheless. They have created figures of 0.41, 1.15, 0.36, 1.31 and 0.26 since the World Cup. They did finish games with higher xG figures than they conceded, but they are hardly creating chances for fun. Cadiz actually created an xG figure of over 2.0 last weekend, and they were unlucky not to beat Elche too. My main worry with Cadiz is they have barely created anything away from home since the World Cup, and I’m actually going to take a punt on 0-0 Correct Score here at 11.5. Both sides haven’t been creating a huge amount, and I think we’ll see a very quiet game here. At 11.5, 0-0 is worth a small investment.
