WEEK AHEAD: This week is set to be truly gripping; the World Snooker Championship, second-leg of the Champions League quarter-finals, and FA Cup Semi-finals are sure to keep you on the edge of your seat. We preview the week ahead below.

Monday We kick off an action-packed week with day three of the World Snooker Championship, the longest running and most prestigious tournament in the sport, from 10:00 on BBC. Following that, Leeds welcome Liverpool to Elland Road where they will hope to scrape as many points as possible to avoid the relegation zone. Catch the action live from 20:00, on Sky Sports.

Tuesday sees the World Snooker Championship enter it’s fourth day, live from 10:00 on BBC as well as the return of the Champions League with teams playing the reverse of last week’s quarter-final first leg fixtures. Chelsea face Real Madrid at Stamford Bridge with a two-goal deficit to make up for, with the action live on BT Sport from 20:00. At the same time, Napoli welcome AC Milan where they too hope to make up a one goal deficit, also live on BT Sport. If you’d prefer some Championship drama, Millwall take on Birmingham City at the same time on Sky Sports.

Wednesday The World Snooker Championship returns for its fifth day from 10:00 on BBC, as the competition starts to whittle down the 32 original contenders as they vie for the £500,000 winning prize. Next there is a mammoth clash between Manchester City Women and Arsenal Women, live on BBC from 19:15. Wednesday also welcomes two huge Championship fixtures in Blackburn versus Coventry (19:45) and Middlesbrough against Hull City (20:00), both live on Sky Sports. We wrap up Wednesday’s action with two more mouth-watering Champions League fixtures as Inter Milan take on Benfica (20:00), while Bayern Munich host Manchester City (20:00), both live on BT Sport.

Thursday brings day six of the World Snooker Championship, live from 13:00 on BBC. Premier League darts returns at 19:00 on Sky Sports for its 12th week as we head to Rotterdam; the table is starting to tighten up with the top four spots in fierce contention. For your football fix we have two tantalising games at 20:00, with West Ham against Gent in the Conference League and Sevilla versus Manchester United in the Europa League, both live on BT Sport.

Friday As the working week draws to a close we bring you day seven of the World Snooker Championship at 10:00 on BBC, as well as a huge Premiership Rugby fixture between Newcastle and Northampton, live from 19:45 on BT Sport. Finally, league leaders Arsenal attempt to fend off potentially relegation bound Southampton at 20:00 on Sky Sports.

Saturday An exciting weekend is headed off with day eight of theWorld Snooker Championship as the tournament starts to enter its closing stages, live from 10:00 on BBC. The Scottish Premiership provides a gritty clash between fourth placed Hearts and Ross County, as Hearts try and reverse a four-game losing streak, catch the game live on Sky Sports from 12:30. At the same time, Fulham face Leeds United on BT Sport. Next, the FA Cup Semi-final is live from 16:45 as Manchester City hope to crush Sheffield United’s challenge, live on ITV. Finally, Preston clash with Blackburn in the Championship from 15:30 on Sky Sports.

Sunday is a day of rest, and what better way to do so than to kick back and enjoy your choice of five thrilling football fixtures. We kick things off with West Brom versus Sunderland in the Championship, live from midday on Sky Sports. Following that, Tottenham clash with Newcastle United in a crucial Premier League matchup, live from 14:00 on Sky Sports. Respite in the football action is provided by day nine of the World Snooker Championship, live on BBC from 15:00. Next, the Scottish Premiership provides a staple fixture as Aberdeen clash with Rangers from 16:30 (Sky Sports). At the same time, the second FA Cup Semi-final sees Brighton welcome Manchester United as the sides vie for the last spot in the all-important final, live on BBC. To wrap up an epic week, Manchester City Women face West Ham United Women from 18:45 on Sky Sports.
