PREVIEW
Sunday’s Irish Premier League action promises to be an enthralling encounter as second and third meet at Richmond Park. St Patrick’s currently lie second in the table after 15 league games with the leaders Sligo Rovers just four points ahead.

Manager Liam Buckley knows that his side are under plenty of pressure as if the visitors leave with all three points they will leapfrog St Patrick’s into second. From 15 games Saints have only lost once although that defeat did come at Richmond Park. Saints have won their past two home league outings and they’ll need to be at their best again as Drogheda arrive in good form.

Drogheda have won three on the bounce and that includes two impressive victories on the road. In those three games Drogheda have scored eight times and conceded only twice.

The recent goalless draw between the clubs was somewhat of an anomaly given the recent high scoring fixtures. In 2011 there were 22 goals scored in the four meetings and with both clubs in decent scoring form, another entertaining game looks on the cards.
