LA LIGA: The Ultra previews Sunday from Europe as Oviedo host Real Madrid in La Liga with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
OVIDEO V REAL MADRID
8.30pm European football is back in full flow on Betdaq Betting Exchange this weekend as the Bundesliga and Serie A return! However, the focus on Sunday is over in La Liga as Real Madrid are back in action against new boys Oviedo. Real got off a winning start on Tuesday night at home to Osasuna – a winning penalty from Mbappe the difference but they could have easily scored three or four. They were very solid at the back too; their xG conceded was only 0.28 and overall it was a hugely impressive start for Xabi Alonso. Real aren’t going to lose their attacking flare regardless of who is in charge, but Alonso’s main task will be getting Real to be rock solid at the back.
Barcelona finished last season with the best attacking figure and the best defensive figure, so there is much work to do for Alonso. He also has to find a system that fits all the big stars into it – Bellingham definitely lose his spark last season when Mbappe arrived. Obviously you have a lot of football fans saying that’s because Mbappe doesn’t work off the ball or do the hard yards. I have to say, this season at Real Madrid will be fascinating. They started the season favourites to win the title – I actually don’t agree with that! Nevertheless, they are unlikely to be tested too much by Oviedo.
The story behind Oviedo is a good one, but the gulf in class here is absolutely massive and we’ve seen time and time again how hard it’s become to break into any top league in Europe with all the money. The difference between the top two tiers has definitely grown everywhere. It’s not a surprise to see Real the red-hot favourites here. Los Blancos are trading 1.33 with Oviedo 11.5 and the draw is 5.7 at the time of writing. Ovideo had to do it the hard way from the Segunda last season as they finished in third – they started away to Villarreal which is always a hard place to go to, but they were completely outplayed and conceded a high xG figure.
Villarreal dominated the game ti win 2-0, but their xG was 2.89 and it could have easily been three or four goals. Obviously they should be more settled now they have home advantage, but I do feel Real can run riot here. They only managed to score once on Tuesday but again their xG figure was high and it could have been a lot more. I feel Real can cover the handicap on the way to winning here, and the 1.96 -1.5 goals looks cracking value in my opinion.
The Ultra Says:
Three points win Real Madrid -1.5 goals to beat Oviedo at 1.96 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
