NEWCASTLE V LIVERPOOL

8pm We have a cracker for Monday Night Football from the Premier League this week on Betdaq Betting Exchange as Newcastle host Liverpool. This fixture has plenty of history; the memory of Stan Collymore scoring the winner in a 4-3 classic and Kevin Keegan sinking in the dugout always comes up. Times have changed a lot for both clubs since then. Liverpool have come into this season as favourites to lift the title again, while Newcastle have had a mare during the summer. The situation with Alexander Isak has rumbled on and to be honest most Newcastle fans have turned on the player now. Liverpool must be watching wondering what they have got themselves into but apparently they are closer to getting their man now.

Some football pundits made a good point about the situation for Liverpool; should they be looking at the behaviour of Isak wondering is that the type of player they want at their club? It’s a fair question; however given the amount of goals he’s scored his behaviour is soon forgotten – that’s football for you! We should have a very interesting game here – I know most of the talk will be around Isak given it’s Liverpool who are interested in signing him! As you would expect, Liverpool come into the game as the favourites at 2.12 with Newcastle 3.5 and the draw is 4.0 at the time of writing.

Liverpool not trading odds on is a sign of how much improvement Newcastle have made in recent seasons. I know they haven’t had the summer transfer window that they would have wanted, but they would have took a lot of positivity from their opening draw with Aston Villa. They could have easily won the game finishing with an xG of 1.66 in a 0-0 draw; which in itself isn’t a bad result away from home against a solid Villa side. Liverpool have ticked their boxes so far as you would have expected. However, the win against Bournemouth was quite dramatic given they were 2-0 up and it went back to 2-2. It feels like Liverpool can score from anywhere though; they look fantastic going forward.

I feel we’ll get an open and exciting game here, with plenty of chances. Over 2.5 goals is trading 1.58 and Both Teams To Score is three ticks shorter at 1.55. I do feel we’ll see both bets land, but compared to both of them I do feel we’re getting the most value in the Liverpool win at 2.12. Newcastle have been solid, but Liverpool have been on a completely different level for a while now – I’d have them marginally odds on to beat a Newcastle side with a lot of negativity around them at the moment.

The Striker Says:
Two points win Liverpool to beat Newcastle at 2.12 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE
