THE ULTRA TUESDAY: The Ultra previews LATVIA v ENGLAND and REPUBLIC OF IRELAND v ARMENIA both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
LATVIA V ENGLAND
7.45pm The October International Break comes to a close on Tuesday, and the focus is on Latvia v England and Republic of Ireland v Armenia with both games 0% Commission on Betdaq Betting Exchange. We kick off the evening in Group K as Latvia host England – we have an exceptionally short price here with England fully expected to win. Thomas Tuchel’s side have been sailing through this Group as expected with five wins from five games. Anything bar another win here would be a massive shock – England are trading as short as 1.06 with Latvia 50.0 and the draw is 21.0 at the time of writing. Although that England price is exceptionally short, it’s actually not the shortest price of the evening – that title goes to Spain who are hosting Bulgaria; they are trading 1.03! We don’t usually see these type of prices in domestic football, which does explain the collective groan we get from most football fans for an International Break these days. Thomas Tuchel had a pop at England fans during the Wales friendly last week; it’s hard for fans to “get up” for a friendly that England are fully expected to win.
It’s not like the stadium will be rocking in that situation. Even this game; obviously the traveling fans will be full voice given the experience of an away day, but you cannot be too excited given the gulf in class here. England have actually struggled to put on a show in this Group given the quality of the opposition too – they haven’t exactly put sides to the sword. As I said in my last preview of England; beating Albania 2-0, Latvia 3-0, Andorra 1-0 and Andorra 2-0 wasn’t covering the handicap from a betting point of view. Ironically, in their toughest game on paper – they found their scoring boots to hammer Serbia 5-0! England can go through the motions here and win, and given their results I wouldn’t be rushing to back them to cover the 2.5 goal handicap at 1.64. England should control the game though, and I do feel that they can comfortably keep a clean sheet on the way to winning. It’s a short price, but Both Teams Not To Score is worth a small bet at 1.39 in a tricky game for betting on with England so short.
The Ultra Says:
One point win Both Teams Not To Score at 1.39 on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

REPUBLIC OF IRELAND V ARMENIA
7.45pm Next we move over to Group F to finish Tuesday night as the Republic of Ireland host Armenia. It feels like Ireland have hit a new low in this qualifying campaign – they sit bottom of the Group with just one point from their three games. The low point obviously being a loss against Armenia in September. Although the situation is quite bleak for Ireland, they are actually only three points behind Hungary – a win here would see them match Hungary and given Hungary are away to Portugal; Ireland can at least give themselves a chance heading into November. The issue would be in November they have to host Portugal, and then have to travel to Hungary so they are massively up against it. The reality is Ireland haven’t been good enough to compete, and that’s been the case for a while. If you looked at the result against Portugal on Friday night you might think Ireland performed well, however when you look at the under-lining numbers you’ll see Ireland were exceptionally lucky to get to injury time at 0-0 before Portugal found the winner. Portugal finished the game with 70% possession and an xG of 3.18 – it could have easily been a 4-0 or 5-0 win for Ronaldo and Co.
This is a game that Ireland will be fully expected to win despite losing away to Armenia. It must be said however that it would take a brave punter to back Ireland at odds on these days! Ireland are trading 1.5 with Armenia 8.6 and the draw is 4.5 at the time of writing. Armenia were well beaten by Portugal and Hungary in their other games, but you couldn’t say that they didn’t deserve to beat Ireland – they finished the game with the higher xG figure. Ireland have massively struggled to create chances for a while now, and although they will likely get the job done here with home support and you also have to acknowledge the gulf in class between the nations too, I still feel that the 1.5 is too short here. I’m keen to keep stakes small of course, but I do expect a closer game than the odds suggest. Ireland haven’t got the firepower to blow sides away these days, and Armenia could easily get a result here.
The Ultra Says:
One point lay (liability) Republic of Ireland to beat Armenia at 1.5 on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
