5/2 WINNING NAP FOR SHAMROCK: Chamonix bolted home by six lengths for a winning nap on Monday. Shamrock’s back at Galway today.
Jumps racing at Galway today, their seven race card gets underway at 4.05 and hopefully we can get another nap after Chamonix yesterday and Snow Fairy on Saturday.
The opening maiden hurdle looks very modest and at the mercy of Habesh who was a winner on the flat and made a satisfactory jumping debut at Killarney when third to Hurricane Ridge with another of today’s rivals, Bigearsonmyright, back in fifth. With normal improvement Habesh should be capable of landing this. The morning BETDAQ price of around 3.4 looks more than reasonable. Elijah Gardner is a morning positive on BETDAQ but this one was well beaten at the Curragh on his sole start on the flat.
In the concluding bumper, Butterfly Lion is preferred to the Willie Mullins trained runner Mr Carson who was well beaten at Sligo. The race has a new shape to it with the non runners and Butterfly Lion can build on the strength of two good runs last season.
SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Habesh (4.05 Galway)
NEXT BEST: Butterfly Lion (7.05 Galway)
