CONSTITUTION WILL: Nicky Henderson’s Constitution Hill has made the cut for his much publicised flat debut on Friday at Southwell. The 2023 Champion Hurdle winner will be partnered by Oisin Murphy.

DAQMAN STILL THE KINGPIN: After an 11/2 and 9/2 winner on Monday, Daqman found another decent priced winner yesterday with De Kingpin WON 100/30.

GO WEST

⭕ 4.05 Ludlow This is definitely Westlain’s level – he has won two of his last three races by wide margins in class 4 company.

He was also tried at class 2 level at Cheltenham in December when he was outclassed but not disgraced.

He’s up 9lb for his latest win at Huntingdon but scored with so much in hand that he could still be ahead of the game and remains lightly raced over jumps with just five races on the clock.

The mare Diamonds Galore has run well on both her starts since wind surgery finishing second on both occasions and now starts life in handicap company off a mark of 109. That looks plenty high enough for the Nicky Henderson trained runner who steps back in trip for this.

At bigger odds Sense Of Reason is interesting – he has been sent off at 66/1 on both his starts so far but has defied those odds with fourth placed efforts at both Huntingdon and Lingfield. He has place prospects here if continuing to improve.

DON’T GET STUNG

⭕ 4.25 Southwell Huckleberry Sting looks a vulnerable favourite on Betdaq Betting Exchange on his first start for nearly a year. He showed little under rules when trained by Dan Skelton and a subsequent point win for trainer Gina Andrews doesn’t really sway me towards his chances over hurdles for this.

A better alternative might be Hidor De Bersy who enjoys a possible fitness advantage after his easy 14 length win at Wincanton in December.

Over the same trip and similar ground today and with regular pilot Vicki Sollitt aboard he could be the percentage call in the race.

FIRST COME FIRST SERVED

⭕ 6.30 Kempton Andrew Balding should land a short priced double on tonight’s card with Comic Hero (7.00) and Silent Strike who will be priced prohibitively in the 7.30.

I’ll try and complete business earlier with Who’s On First who improved significantly to win at Chelmsford earlier in the month and then finished fourth under his penalty at Lingfield last week.

The drop back in trip should help and Harry Vigors takes off a handy 7lb.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
