DAQMAN – IT’S IN THE NAME: Daqman scored with his first bet on Tuesday – Itsinthename winning at 13/8. He also went close with his decent priced nap when Trojan Soldier was second at 9/2 at Southwell – beaten just half a length.
CONSTITUTION HILL NEWS: Expect news later this week on whether Nicky Henderson’s star is Cheltenham bound. He was set to school over hurdles today and Henderson was quoted as saying it’s 50/50 whether he returns to hurdles or remains on the flat after his emphatic Southwell debut flat success last week.
PLANTING AN IDEA
⭕ 2.20 Wincanton Plantorama looks the answer to this mares’ handicap hurdle over the shorter 1m 7f trip.
Trained by Tom Symonds she switches back to hurdles after two placed efforts over fences which seemed to prove the wind surgery she had in November was a success. The drop back in trip is likely to suit and she races off a career low mark today.
The obvious danger on the Betdaq Betting Exchange is Shalfa who remains lightly raced over hurdles but her opening mark of 98 looks plenty high enough given she faces a tougher examination here than she did when a well held second in a Plumpton maiden hurdle when last seen.
At bigger odds Man Maid has place prospects. She is the sort to improve now in handicaps and her latest effort was a significant improvement on her two runs prior to that.
SOLEIL TO BE ECLIPSED
⭕ 3.20 Wincanton The morning Betdaq favourite Le Soleil Reve is proving an expensive project for punters. He has been a beaten favourite in three of his last five races and now finds himself up 3lb for his troubles!
Trainer Nick Scholfield did me a favour at Catterick yesterday with Itsinthename and I’m sticking with him today with Mammies Boy here who makes his first start for the yard.
He has a lengthy absence to overcome but with the stable in such good form (6 winners from last 16 runners) I’m not too worried about that. I wouldn’t want it more testing than good to soft but he is taken to pick up where he left off 291 days ago – in winning form.
Nicky Henderson saddles Laughing John who made a winning handicap start in December at Doncaster and is entitled to improve on that effort so rates as the biggest danger.
SAVING BEST UNTIL LAST
⭕ 8.10 Kempton I’m waiting for the final race for the nap. Combustion is taken to complete his hat-trick despite heading 7lb north in the weights.
He remains progressive and seemed to have plenty left up his sleeve when winning at Lingfield last time out over tonight’s six furlong trip.
His rivals are struggling for the same level of current form. Em Four could be the biggest threat after a solid effort at Southwell last time out off the same mark.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….
Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
