PREVIEW
Tranmere have recovered well from a little blip at the end of October to win their past three games across all competitions. Ronnie Moore’s side rallied in time to stay atop of League One and the gap on Sheffield United currently stands at five points.
That gap could be eight points if they beat the MK Dons at home this evening, but the Dons have proved a tricky opponent in recent times. Perhaps a little surprisingly, Rovers have been stronger on the road than they have at Prenton Park. Rovers have still won three of their past six at home, although they were held to a 1-1 draw with Preston.
Tonight’s visitors can break into the top six if they take maximum points. Much of the focus around the Dons this week has been on the FA Cup draw that has seen them picked against AFC Wimbledon. The Dons will need to put that to the back of their minds if they’re to secure a third straight league victory.
Excluding this week’s cup win, the Dons have failed to win any of their previous four away games and I expect that run to continue. However, given Rovers’ struggles against the Dons they look likely to have to settle for a point and that can be backed at 3.35 on BETDAQ.
