Eight sides remain in the FA Cup and only one of those hails from outside the Premier League. Leicester City fly the flag for the Championship, but it’s unlikely that they’ll have enough to get past a resurgent Chelsea.

The action gets underway at Goodison Park and if David Moyes’ team selection against Liverpool is anything to go by, then the manager really wants this cup. There’s no other reason that Moyes chose to change so many of the starting XI that beat Tottenham for the Merseyside derby.

That decision means that there’s a huge amount of pressure on Everton and there promises to be a cracking atmosphere inside the ground. Sunderland will certainly play their part as they continue to improve under Martin O’Neill’s guidance.

Sunderland beat Arsenal last time out with a goal from Nicklas Bendtner, but I’m sure O’Neill would settle for a replay tomorrow lunch-time. Everton have beaten three of the current top five in recent weeks, but a draw looks most likely this time.

Later that afternoon Tottenham take on Bolton looking to re-ignite their season. Since Harry Redknapp’s name has constantly been linked with the England job, results have not been good. Spurs’ lead on Arsenal has been cut to one point and they really need a win. Bolton were fortunate that goal line technology is not in use as if Clint Hill’s ‘goal’ had counted, then it could have been a very different story.

Bolton are still not playing well enough to give Spurs a test and Coyle knows that Premier League survival is the main objective this term. Spurs should stroll to a comfortable win, which can act as a catalyst for their season run in.

Sunday’s games start with Leicester’s visit to Stamford Bridge and after the Blues’ performance on Wednesday night it’s hard to see the top-flight club being put under too much strain.

The weekend’s final cup game sees Liverpool take on Stoke with a cup double very much in sight. Kenny Dalglish must know that a top four finish is out of reach following the defeat at the Stadium of Light, so you can bet he’ll send out a strong side against Stoke.

Steven Gerrard’s hat-trick on Tuesday underlines how much he means to the club and will have supporters wondering what could have been if he’d been fit all season. With home advantage and a couple double on the horizon, Liverpool should be too strong for Tony Pulis’ outfit.
