David Moyes signalled his commitment to winning the FA Cup with the side he sent out at Anfield on Tuesday evening. The Scottish manager made plenty of changes to the starting XI that beat Tottenham 1-0 with an eye on the cup clash with Sunderland.
Before the 3-0 defeat in the Merseyside derby Everton had put together a run of nine games without a defeat. The Toffees remain excellent at Goodison Park with four consecutive victories, with three of those coming against sides currently in the top five. Each of those three triumphs was to nil, but the host’s back four will be under pressure from Martin O’Neill’s side.
Since the Northern Irish manager moved to Wearside at the start of December the Black Cats have won 11 of their 18 matches. The most recent of those was a 1-0 win over Liverpool and they’ll head to Merseyside full of confidence.
It finished in a 1-1 draw in the most recent meeting between the clubs and a similar scoreline looks on the cards this time around. O’Neill would certainly settle for a replay and will most likely set up with a more defensive side than usual. My advice would be to back the sides to be level at the final whistle at around 3.55 on BETDAQ.
